Stella is the main clue in this Scrapbook, in my opinion. The cover of Once Upon a While backs me up on that point. Im wondering if theres a reference to the Man of Steel, too. It would fit with several pieces of information.

. Hi whotrollsnigh
Thanks for asking. Those points I would rather hold a little closer to the vest, although they may be moot, as zaphod posted elsewhere that the Stele was added by Dal and not by Forest

. Hi whotrollsnigh Thanks for asking. Those points I would rather hold a little closer to the vest, although they may be moot, as zaphod posted elsewhere that the Stele was added by Dal and not by Forest I understand. Man of Steel is a sort of kenning. And I think there is at least one other kenning in the compound photo. Forrest had an alligator named Beowulf. Beowulf or "bee-wolf" is a kenning for "bear" and in the photo is a half-submerged bear looking a lot like an alligator.

I don't know which thread this was in....but we must have talked about the similarities before.... Hi Jenny: yep, that's the photo of Forrest that Dal Photoshopped for SB 126. And you can see now why he inserted the Stele where he did. :-)

I suppose he wouldn't have had an arm if not something put there..... Why the Stele though?

From what I understand, the only things that could have any relevance to a potential hint in this photo are the hat Mildew floating over his head and the bear. That's it. The rest is all Dal's doing. Why would Dal have chosen the stele? I have no idea. Honestly I think it's a shame we spend so much time questioning the photos etc. in these scrapbooks when Dal could easily be upfront from the beginning and say what information he added and what information was specifically requested by Forrest without searchers having to ask each time. It's a blurry line and isn't necessary IMO. SB 126 was posted in Jan 2015. Dal's explanation of the photoshopping was made on July 15 2015. Why so long to set the record straight? dalneitzel.com/2015/07/15/the-prospect-of-leadville/#comment-95996

Jenny Avatar Jenny Administrator ***** Oct 4, 2018 at 9:41am Quote likePost Options Here is some more information about that Scrapbook from DAL:
That photo is completely photoshopped by me. There are no hints or clues in it. I will try to recover from some nearly dead brain cells how it all came about but accuracy is a moving target and truth is just a rumor… So there may be errors in my recounting…but they are not on purpose…they are because I can’t recall the exact sequence.
I had this photo of Forrest.. I don’t remember what it originally looked like.. He asked me to float the hat above his head a few inches.. I thought that was a weird request…but who am I to question Forrest.
I cut him out of the background and found that landscape shot on the web. I believe I flipped it left to right so it would be harder to identify. I floated his hat above his head and in the original photo there was something odd in the shot…I don’t remember what…so I decided to cover it up with that strange looking pillar-stone. I sent the photo to Forrest and he was okay with it so we posted it. A day or two later he asked me to put the bear in there somewhere. I think that had something to do with a comment someone made about bears…being afraid of them…I’m sorry..I can’t remember why . So I found the bear on the web and placed him in the shot a couple of days later.
I think if you look at the dates on the comments you can tell when the bear showed up…
So..other than requesting the floating hat and requesting a bear in the shot somewhere…Forrest had no input on the layout or the specific elements..
That’s all I can squeeze out of my brain …
My question is why did Forrest ask to post a hat above his head?
