Will an avalanche start?
I've long thought there are more than 9 clues in the poem. The best I can do by combining phrases is 10.
Did ff ever say there were only 9 clues in the poem?
Yes, I understand that 9 of the clues are needed as ff instructed.

I feel some are hints and not clues. The combo of hints and clues, IMO far exceeds nine in the poem.

Traveling along this train of thought, I wonder. Is it possible the clues refer to more than 9 locations on the ground? If so, was it intentional on f's part or is this another instance when he tried to think of everything? Imho, once the location of the treasure chest is realized, only then will too far to walk make absolute sense; the first 2 clues can lead 1 to the treasure chest.

But then, the extra locations (more than 9) might just only help understand the big picture. However, tftw already makes sense to me (exactly) as we travel to put in below hob (exact spot). Anyways, clue versus hint, whatever, they get us to the spot, as long as we get the exact clue/order.
