Just saw some interesting posts on Dal's site from a 2016 interview that I hadn't caught before.
The quote was this:
Who else knows where the treasure is buried?
"I never said it was buried. I’ve avoided that word. I hid it. I don’t mean to imply that it isn’t buried. I just didn’t want to give that as a clue. It took me two trips in my car to hide the treasure. And I can tell you an 80-year-old man is not going to make a trip into a canyon, then come up and go down again. As for who else knows, I’m the only one. My wife doesn’t know."
Got me thinking....TWO TRIPS IN MY CAR?!?! Hmm....really? Not two trips FROM my car.....
THEN... - if THE canyon (in the poem) isn't A canyon - then what is it - and how do you "take it in the canyon"?....also, then likely where warm waters halt has nothing to do with water - home of Brown probably isn't a home....etc...
As usual - just thinking out loud....several of us have had ideas about for wwwh like the 109/43, or a place where someone died, etc... - but a lot of folks (including me) have taken their "starting point" - and then reverted to "place names"....but I suppose each stanza/clue has it's own hidden meaning....still thinking - but thought this might spark some ideas for others. What DO all of those WORDS really mean?

Georgia O'keeffe on her feelings about the Texas Panhandle:
"It is absurd the way I love this country."
It's back in the saddle for me!

Good catch.
What do all of those words really mean? And it's like the New Zealand interview and "begin it".
My "canyon" is a canyon. My "hoB" is tricky.
I think I'll make an upcoming post about "specialized" knowledge - only after trying to make my thoughts clear.

I just don't understand why Forrest is miss leading us searchers in his quotes. Though the years. This is it the canyon quote and making two trips in his car. I not going to listen to Forrest miss leads anymore. Every thing Forrest is telling us is rabbit holes because he did say he's not giving any clue to lead someone,to the TC. Forrest told the chief of police this. So anything coming out of forrest mouth,is a rabbit hole Imo

Look Forrest is playing head games with us with, every thing he shows us and tell us. Don't you remember when Forrest told the chief of police of New Mexico he's not going to give" ANY CLUE." To lead a searcher to the Tc. So every thing that Forrest has said after that interview with the chief of police of New Mexico. Ant nothing but rabbit holes all the random word and the pictures.

I don't think he's misleading or playing head games. He more or less said that all the Today show stuff (between 5k and 10,200 ft, not in an outhouse, etc..) were NOT clues that would truly help anyone solve this....in short, nothing really is of any value except the poem....and possibly the book (because the poem is in the book).
