I haven't given much thought about the 1st stanza and possible meaning other than an introduction. The last couple of days I have given thought to it and the last line - hint of riches new and old - and what ff is really saying.
The chase for me has only been 4 months or so long and haven't seen much discussion about the stanza or lines.
How are you guys and gals treating this in relation to any past or current solves?
Thinking out of the box here - what if - hint of riches - is the basis for figuring out how the 9 clues are to be used.
The way the poem is written has lead searchers all over the Rockies with confidence that they knew where the tc is and not finding it.

I do think at list 2 clues. I start my wwwh in yellow stone Now I'm leaving 1 box and that is the state I'll go down through Wyoming and Colorado put in below in to New Mexico the home of Brown. Now I'm thinking out side the box state.

Look at the state maps they are square The only one that is not a box state is Montana Think out side the box stats and focuse in Montana.

Could Olga wheeled forrest some other property around Taos maybe the deed to this property is in Ogla dad's name. You won't find ff name on the land if he didn't Change the deed over. I think Forrest could be paying the taxes on the property. And not be notice.

I've found it uncanny how much and how often a seemingly vast array of Fenn/Chase 'discovery' appears to have a connection IMO, to Dal's site. Ever since I first became aware of the Poem, etc...... this sense has remained in the back of my mind.
Insofar as questions regarding property and rights; I continue to feel that in some way F is quite involved and somehow 'legally' connected.
2019 IMO, is exhibiting a rather unique if not unusual blending of freshly combined and well aged ......'perceptions.'

It makes sense since the scrapbooks are on dal’s site. But the “words” are at jenny’s Mysteriouswritings.com and IMO both areas should be of interest to searchers.

Heidini, Your interpretation is not quite where I was going with my above comment. In any event and IMO; Jenny's mysteriouswritings present transparent advantages along with a no nonsense platform for the TOTC Searcher/Member to become more clearly..... informed. ( A lack of respect towards commenters who might express 'different' points of view or perhaps ask 'uncomfortable' questions too often appear to receive verbally harsh warnings and/or deletions on another TOTC Blog.)
Just an observation.
Say goodnight, Gracie. Goodnight, Gracie.

In any event and IMO; Jenny's mysteriouswritings present transparent advantages along with a no nonsense platform for the TOTC Searcher/Member of actually becoming more clearly..... informed. Respect towards commenters with 'different' points of view or perhaps 'uncomfortable' questions resulting in warnings and/or deletions resulting as commonplace .......elsewhere.
Say goodnight, Gracie. Goodnight, Gracie. Sorry. I wasn’t thinking in a different direction. I guess I was being more literal. I reread your post and I think I have the gist of your intent.

For me, HINT of riches points the searcher to that land with confidence the searcher needs to - Begin it where warm waters halt. Could riches hint be a person's name or nick name from history (old) and someone more recent (new) that are tied together to give the confidence.
