Forrest suggests there are 3 or 4 clues in the second stanza... 1 begin it wwwh. 2 take it one the canyon down. 3,not far but too far to walk. 4 Put in below the hob. 5 from there it's no place for the me-ek. 6 The end is ever lasting nigh 7 There be no paddle up your creek Just heavy loads and water high. 8 If you been wise and found the blaze look quickly down your guess to cease. 9 But tarry -scant with marvel gaze and take the chest in peace. Maybe.

Maybe. But I do ask myself why is it that important. To know the number for that clue we know there's 9 clues and the first one is begin it wwwh. How does the number after the first get someone, closer to the tc by know the clue number.

There's not a clue in the poem that will lead a person to the tc. The 9 clues is 9 imagination thoughts To lead one in the hills.

Or am I'm wrong about the poem. Why can't we find the 5th clue. NOW I'm looking at clue number 5 is "From there." "idea's man."Or from there could be 3 or 4 or 5 clue Dont know they all make sense.

Forrest seems to suggest there are 3 or 4 clues in the second stanza... With my current thinking (IMO), I would agree that there are 3 or 4 clues in the 2nd stanza. Number 2 and 3 could easily be combined into 1 since they are connected to each other pointing your way. Each line is a clue and using 1 and 4 independent of each other the other 2 clues don't help in getting to number 4 location. They help with direction of travel in stanza 3. Meaning that you can get to HOB traveling down different roads, from different directions, to get there. One way points you East and the other West.
