THE CURATOR EMAILED ME: I told her I was hoping to find out if there is an actual Romanesque chest/casket circa 1150AD like this that exists somewhere.
This is her reply:
The quick answer is "not necessarily" - if it is made in a revival style, the artist used images and motifs and put them together to look like something they thought looked like it could come from the Middle Ages or Renaissance. It's not necessarily a copy or forgery - it could be an homage to the arts of a different age.
The senior curator believes ours is made in the 19th century, not as a forgery or copy, but as a decorative work produced for the interior decoration market. But all of this interest has sent him down to storage to take a second look. Or at least he will once the weather breaks.

Seem like Forrest is selling you on a sells pitch about the TC in being as hold as it is. Nice story to get one involved. Other then the gold. BUT Imo.the TC chest isn't worth as much as Forrest said it cost. I believe the TC cost less then 500 dollars. Or Forrest made it him self.

These two sisters are really sharp. And I think that Tammy's comment regarding the 2-chest issue at roughly the 17 to 21 minute mark in the video is excellent. Tammy says: "somebody has made a mistake ... I'm disheartened ... that is flawed provenance ... I had problems with that, today". Not only are her comments starkly honest, they suggest someone who can see the truth, and not be blinded by hero worship of Forrest Fenn, which is so characteristic of many searchers. Let's hope that Forrest can clear this up. The 2 TC are the same you can tell by looking at the top of the lid on the Tc. Forrest TC and the museum chest are the same.

Well if you going to give create to someone in finding the second chest it should be Kyle Sandra he's the one that brought the information about the 2 chest a few weeks back.
