Go to Google images and put in blaze coal, its a type of smokeless coal used by outdoor people (just like FF). There is a tiny town 17 miles downriver (Arkansas River) from the last warm spring (swissvale, which is just below Browns Canyon National Monument) which goes by the name Coaldale (Colorado). Right on the back side of this town is a creek that feeds into the Arkansas by the name of Big CottonWOOD Creek. Across the river, right on the bank, is a rail road. Trains carry "heavy loads". There is a culvert straight out from the creek under the railroad tracks which I dig out yesterday with no success. Obviously a culvert is a manmade structure, but I had to cross it off the list. I believe whomever correctly understands "heavy loads and water high" might have a chance of finding it. I have been to this spot twice with no luck, however, the clues and google maps will take you right to this point. I am sharing because I have been there twice and will more than likely not go back, but I did not search around the area extensively. I would love to see someone find the treasure during FF's lifetime. My take is there is a creek, or the poem would not mention not having to paddle up your creek. This just means it's at the mouth of the creek and the River. So, if you are standing "in the wood", at the mouth of the creek, you should be near it. Each clue guides you from the starting point and gets more specific on the map until you are standing in the creek, just like he said they would.

And to make it more poetically perfect, the property just behind the mouth of the creek is called Hidden Vally Ranch.

Go to Hidden Valley Ranch (dressing website) and check out their Rewards Program and also their family brands. Take notice of Kingsford Charcoal in particular the inner paper used for packaging (specific kind of paper). This lead me to the next stop on the road map. GOOD HUNTING and how was the weather there? Planning trip to area as soon as son gets out for Spring Break.
