To me F's answer means if you take the words 'where warm waters halt' literally, yes, there are actually MANY possibilities wwwh and therefore it would be impossible to pinpoint the starting location. wwwh is most likely figurative in nature, which requires imagination to determine what these words mean to Forrest. Basically you have to get into F's head to know where this place is, hence, there is no shortcut. Relying on the words you see on the page would be the shortcut he's referring to IMO.

Yes I agree many wwh but where I don't know. First of all Forrest tells us wwwh is and that Is in the mountains Forrest didn't say in the canyons.Rivers are in a canyon,so then there no wwwh in a river. The wwwh is in the mountains . How many kind of water activity goes on in a moutain. The most popular one is a creek. There are many creeks in the Rockies Mountain's.

But why can the little India girl solve the first two clues and not get any further. Because at this time she's looking a tourist sits map in the United States.

You can’t have mountains, plural of mountain, without the space between the mountains. The space between the mountains are canyons. Rivers can be anywhere. They don’t have to be in a canyon. There are lots of rivers and creeks both in canyons and not in canyons. I don’t think this is anyway to narrow down anything.

What about Little Dog mountain in MT. FF said he is zooming in and watching his little dog.

. I believe that Forrest often uses very precise wording. In the video he said “there are many places in the Rocky Mountains where warm waters halt...”, which is a bit different than the thread title.

goldilocks wrote ... Are you saying that some of the clues, including WWWH, have meaning only to Forrest Fenn? If yes, then that seems to imply that only searchers with psychic abilities have a chance of finding the chest. Maybe some searchers are psychic; I'm not. So-called "clues" that require getting into FF's head would have no meaning for a lot of searchers and would therefore be deceptive; they're not "clues" at all. I don't think Forrest Fenn's puzzle is deceptive or requires psychic abilities. Clues are meant to be helpful to searchers, not deceptive. What "page" are you referring to? The page in TTOTC with the poem? Drifter: Yes that's what I'm saying...and you don't need to be a psychic and he is not deceptive. That's where the puzzle comes in. I am trying to figure out where the answer to this clue is in the poem. I am looking for what Forrest thinks 'where warm waters halt' means, not where. The what will lead me to the where. There are an infinite number of places wwwh so I believe there is more in the poem to point us there. And yes, I was referring to the page where the poem states 'where warm waters halt'. I do not believe all of his words should be taken literally, that would be the shortcut he is referring to IMO.

Everyone looks for one specific WWWH. I wonder if we are supposed to find like four WWWHs then make an X.

Well this could be a run for the money. Thinking maybe the word "many" is the key to what FF is trying to say. Many people populate is bathing hole. Special spot. How dare they go there! TTOTC. Like saying HALT! You many people don't go there! This place is mine alone! If I am reading the poem correctly where route 89 and then turns into route 20 is close to the location. Take Madison Canyon Down? route 20 = H20. Fly Highway. Stanza One I believe is telling us the treasure is in Montana (Treasure State). The "I" definition in the dictionary is the 9th letter denoted after H being 8th letter of the alphabet. The repeated "I"s in the poem give the direction of the nine clues on a road map. Waters being the elements of H20 gives us another location on the map. Since waters is plural we have the old highway 20 and new highway 20. "I", "Treasures", "waters" are all nouns which FF tells us to pay attention to the nouns because they are placed strategically for a reason. When FF was interviewed he ask the audience what is the meaning of the word "several" The audience replied with "many". FF said no. It means one or two but not more than three.
