Just started using religion as a point of view for a solve.
Starting with Proverbs 31:10 - 31 on his parents grave marker since ff mentions the location of his fathers resting place in his Epilogue.
Using the dictionary in my bible and reading words (or their synonyms) in poem has started to look interesting.
ANY THOUGHTS?

Bible spelled lower case (error or aberration) Riches new and old (¿New and Old Testament?) Crean- Spanish for “to create” Kacir... look that one up. And do a global search. Very cool. Let me know what you think of that one.

This goes with what I was just reading in my bible - Samson's feast and riddle - Judges 14:12-20 When I searched the section of cemetery grave is in, my first result was Code of Federal Regulations when to stop giving cows supplements prior to slaughter. The riddle ended in Samson slaughtering 30 men like cattle for plowing with his heifer. I found ff's plow some time back and could not figure out what the meaning was till possibly now. I also now understand the meaning of 2323 that has come up as addresses on Google Maps. Of course, this is just my crazy thinking again.

Everyone one of us has crazy thoughts. Just imagine with all the new neuro pathways we are developing by investigating all of these rabbits holes, maybe we all will reduce our risk of Alzheimer’s by... I don’t know... 7%? 😂

Heres a post from today www.chasechat.com/showthread.php?tid=11946&pid=220884#pid220884“As above, So below” is a saying from the Hermetic tradition. You can plainly see that in the poem, and there are other chase related references to it.

It would be prudent imo, to consider it a strong possibility of the family in general having a faith based element within it.

I agree with you both that religion has something to do with the solve. Exactly how it does may only require me to make a phone call to see.

I'll go contrarian. Religion will have absolutely NOTHING to do with the correct solution, and religion will play no role in deciphering the poem. Forrest isn't religious, he's spiritual. BIG DIFFERENCE.

Jesus Christ imo, is the fulfillment of both religion and spirituality.

Oh boy, religion and politics, two of the biggest hot button topics in life. I try to stay out of both but I will say, as it pertains to this hunt:
Yes, he has said his church is in the mountains and he is spiritual HOWEVER, I can imagine when you are given a cancer diagnosis and prognosis like Forrest was, you reevaluate everything in your life and look for guidance wherever you can get it. You go back to your roots so to speak, wherever that may lead...
The tilted cross on p. 41, praying thanks to Thor and for his D's, he certainly did pray a lot, to whom I wonder? When he talks about religion and fetishes he says it's important that we believe, maybe that's all we need to know.

Spirituality and religion are one in the same for me. They give purpose and meaning to life and how to live your life whether it be good or evil or somewhere in between.
The solve using religion/spirituality to me is very MUDDY and has been hard for me to decide what to consider using. Hence the reason for starting this Thread.

The poem will take us where it takes us. It's not for us to decide the path, which is why I continue to have an open mind. Now that I said it, is it Forrest's path or is it ours? Could be a little of both. His treasure chest, our adventure.
