Who or what is the Grey Giant? Is it the Statue of Liberty? Or something else? What do you think?

my theory is that the grey giant is a building near the Ferry Building. the arm extending over a slender path refers to a toll gate arm and narrow entry point. the whirring sound comes from the heliport right next door up the East River. the pic is my ferry rationale.

I know the overall thought is that 'grey giant' is the 'statue of liberty', but it certainly isn't conclusive. Has there been any evidence/writings pre 80's discovered referring to her as the 'grey giant'?
Since the image gives the Statue of Liberty, it seems like that line might refer to something else. In the St. Augustine verse, the first line, The First Chapter, is seen written at it's suggested location (Fountain of Youth).... it seems if the Statue of Liberty is the 'grey giant' we should be able to have more confirmation for it-- and there doesn't seem to be that...
I like the idea of 'grey giant' to be something else.... a large (giant) building seems like a better fit...

Other options for grey giant: UN building, Twin towers seen from a certain angle. One can have a lot of fun with V10, I12. Lone Eagle ==> Charles Lindbergh ==> Spirit of St. Louis ==> Roosevelt Field to Paris flight ==> Roosevelt Island I12's sash looks like Roosevelt Island with the belt area being the Queensboro bridge.
Here's a fun interpretation of "Or gaze north Toward the isle of B.": isle of B. ==> I love B. ==> I love Lucy (Ball) Lucy's address in NYC was a fictional address, 623 E. 68th Street which would put it in East River. So the area directly south would be around south of Queensboro bridge where perhaps UN building can cast shadow on.

Hi I'm new to the site and the attempt to find a treasure. I grew up in NY, and looking at The Secret clues, one of my thoughts was Cental Park. However, I did read somewhere that it was not there.. Where did that information come from? No sense in wasting time if it is from a reliable source. Thx

Thx Hi centauria, I did a solve for image 3, verse 11 that ends up a couple hundred feet from Central Park. It's under Roanoke because that's is where it was believed to be located. I don't think image 12, verse 10 is in or near Central Park but that's just my opinion. Welcome to the hunt!

xmarksdspot Thanks for your welcome and opinion... I feel good about Central park ( and other lesser possibilities).. May have to re-think it.

Who or what is the Grey Giant? Is it the Statue of Liberty? Or something else? What do you think? I am of the opinion that Image 12 clues (commonly referenced as New York) is the wrong location. This is still a work in progress but I believe the key for this image is in the two yellow squares. You will need a map to find the general area. Once the connection between the two yellow squares is found, the meaning of divided water line (located in the bottom of the Image) may be understood. As for the gray giant, I cannot speak. But the book’s text may provide a clue: “...... hide in the gentle slope of a mountain, like a giant;”
