Spent some time this summer digging around the Phoenicia NY are looking, this summer and was unable to come up with anything...and old timer that I met had a map that put us into a great area and we dug a 5 foot by 5 foot hole looking for it, only to find an old shovel...we were very excited, until the shovel. On our way out of the area...I asked my friend to give me the map and realized the old treasure hunter that was with us was looking at the map upside down, when we turned it around it made a lot more sense, and after a quick search of the area and metal detection we located a large hit, but lacked the proper tools to dig in the area, it was extremely rocky and our shovel would not cut it. We left it for the time being and are hoping to return as soon as the snow melts.
The true secret to the unknown is in the looking, not the finding. The journey is what matters!
