If you bought the book, the site and email says you will be given a video of the author actually hiding the object. The Facebook site has people asking for that and I didn't get it. Did any of you?

. I thought I saw a clip of it when I first read about this hunt, and watched some videos by Pete. I can't recall which video. I think he doesn't want to show the video yet because it may give away too much. Somewhere in this interview, he says that when he releases the video, at first it will be blurry to hide information, and then he will release crisper versions. www.facebook.com/raymondaaronmentor/videos/1358236750866328/One Facebook recently, there was an audio file of a hunter who called in from a hunt ( I know the name, but won't repeat it because ... ; in an e-mail I received from Pete, there was a call-in number given which said names would be bleeped out if the call was played to the public. So I guess some things have changed.

I heard back. The author changed his mind about releasing the video yet, though they assured me there is no clues in the video.
They should update their communication and website. It is not accurate.

The book is not accurate either then because it is in the book, hmm, perhaps it should be reported to Amazon

What do you mean its not the same?
I purchased a book and within that book it clearly states that you will get bonus information including the video. Not next year, not six months, now. The future is addtional chapters and hints, the video is supposed to be now.
Now considering this book is used for a treasure hunt, if the author cannot make good on the promise of the video, why the heck should I believe he will do so if the treasure is found?
I'm beginning to smell scam here, I may get a refund and forget about it to be honest.
Plus what annoys me is that I have emailed and asked for almost a week now, nobody responds.

I thought you meant that it was explained in the book, you are right. I stand strong with you but not trying to be negative. It is wrong.
I got an answer with a response, just not happy with it.
It is starting to smell with me too, but giving a short time to make it good. It seems with their other products plugged through out the book. They should be positive an make it whole.
Thanks WY for keeping it real, appreciate it.

Yeah it is a downer for sure. I was excited to get and start reading the book, frankly important or not it doesn't bode well when the author says things and doesn't deliver. Not saying the thing is a scam, but it really is a turn off. Forrest has many more people on his chase because it is harder, and yet he still has always found the time to even respond to emails (that are not chase related). He is active, I feel like part of a community and the author is in touch with us. It gives me pleasure knowing that even if I never find the chest, I will always have the memories and knowledge gained from Forrest Fenn. I even have an artifact that he personally dug up at his pueblo. Forrest Fenn has already provided me with more treasure than I can ask for, right from the start. Oh, and I spent almost $125 on both TTOTC and TFTW books. I spent a few thousand travelling and returning empty handed, but you know what? I have no regrets, it has been and continues to be well worth it! This isn't about money I spent Meanwhile the Breakfast Tea and Bourbon author does not even respond to questions about why he straight up lied in the book itself. On top of that, even if he did "change is mind", he did not change ANY of the promotional material on the official website to reflect the change. He is still using the video as part of the marketing to sell the book. I do not care if it has clues or not, its just the point of making promises and not delivering, not even making an attempt to set the record straight! I know they read the messages because they are there to spam the FB page with videos and messages, and yet there is no answer in public except by people who are not part of the marketing team or the author himself. This is not just a matter of buying a novel to read and becoming disappointed that you do not like it, that happens and can be expected. But this book is created to be sold and used for a treasure hunt, people are not buying it as a fiction novel. You open the book and it tells you exactly the same thing as the promotional material, you sign up, provide your proof of purchase, it responds (robot) via email to confirm once you click the link. From then on you are left in the dark regarding access to the promised information. Seems like a bad way to launch a search and then leave people thinking they might have been scammed. At this point nothing can be done, I expect the author will release a different video (probably completely black) just to say he kept his promise. Of course, that might be a good legal defense but it reeks of bad eithics and just leaves me turned off by the whole thing. I have no problem being negative when it comes to something that can be proven with facts written by the author himself. Remember, like you I bought the book in good faith. Its less than $20 with shipping, its no big deal financially and I did get "the book", its just a question of ethics and business practices. He will certainly sell enough books to easily cover the $50,000 else he would not have done it. So just as they are promoting the book on all the blogs, it makes sense to let others be aware of the facts and let them decide if they want to invest the $20 and time.
