Any chance the key is more valuable than the jewel- as far as collector value goes?
I mean, there's three jewels in circulation but no keys.

Actually there are possibly millions of similarly cut stones you could by for under $100 on eBay. I would surely keep the key and the cask together.

Don't you have to give up the key to get the jewel? Maybe keeping the key and casque is the smart thing? Of course, no glory in that

Yes, keep the cask and key together. Forget the stone. They are cheap semi-precious stones. The "glory" is finding the cask.
