Why did Forrest choose to say he would name his Country Song 'Cold Coffee in a Hot Cup'? (SB 246: dalneitzel.com/2019/12/10/scrapbook-two_hundred-forty-six/ ) ' Maybe I’ll talk about that at another time. And now to my country song. It’s called Cold Coffee in a Hot Cup. fIs it a clue that Warm Waters is a mixture of Cold and Hot?

By now Forrest knows searchers look into every little thing he writes...... he had to know searchers would Question the hot and cold mix..... is it his way of offering some confirmation? or just a tease? Or a bit of both...
He could have named his song anything....

Also, I dunno!

I think its a great title, first time that I can remember where Forrest writing in terms of coffee. Question I have is how do you get cold coffee in a hot cup? I would normally be cold coffee in a cold cup, or maybe hot coffee in a cold or warm cup, but his title cracks me up.

Why would it just be a country song, when we know he has listened to Janis Joplin, and other artists that were not country? That in it's self is a clue as to why he classified it as a country song. Question, Who is well known for listening to country songs, and of that who would use the term Cold coffee and a hot cup? One group comes to mind and one song in particular. That's my secret. The same as WWWH is Forrest's.

There's one place I know that serves coffee and it's Collected Works Bookstore. Iced coffee made with a cup that just came out of the dishwasher seems to fit this song title.

Maybe the area “cup” is right but in area “coffee” is wrong or “cold”. Like the hot/ cold game.

Warm waters is a mix of hot and cold water; consider your hot tap and your cold tap at the sink - each is a distinct temperature of water, one hot, one cold - when they combine, you get warm waters.
