I just noticed something yesterday that I thought I'd share.
You know that part of the book where Sandy and Stefan are talking about the letters that fell off the movie theater marquee?
Did anyone else notice that the letters aren't accurate?
If you start with ROBERT DENIRO TAXI DRIVER
there are no letters you can take away to get you to: BERT NERO TAX DRIVE
Bert Niro, yes, but not Nero.
And then from BERT RO AX RIVE you can't get: ERT RO A I ER
because you've already lost the last R.
Do you think this is just a mistake on the author's part or deliberate?
I noticed there are some other mistakes in the book, such as saying that the prize for Masquerade was a gold statue and that the book was self-published. So maybe these are just mistakes.

Very observant! I tried to work on those letters a bunch and came up with nothing at the time.

Me too. Maybe it really was just a mistake.

Good catch - honestly it looks like it could easily be an autocorrect issue (NIRO to NERO). I guess we won’t know for sure until it’s solved but it does seem like a mistake. If anyone finds out from the author whether it was intentional or not, please share!!
