I did this for the last set of coded words as a place to list and update the puzzles from the book. These could have something to do with the Coded Words or the MW Armchair Treasure Hunt at the End of the Book. Plus some may just be stuck and not want to work past a point to figure them out.
As always, Jenny if you do not want these out there, feel free to delete this thread! Now on to the solutions.
UNSOLVED:
Chess Pieces: Not sure yet. Just started the book last night.

Ok I think that is all of them (aside from the last two big ones). If I missed any let me know. As I solve some or others let me know, I will edit this post to move them from unsolved to solved.
Hopefully this helps us get to the final solutions for the big boys.

My team and I think we have everything solved, except these:
p. 11: numbers at bottom (20 20 3 16 25 5 17 19 18 14 5 4 3 10 12 12 10 3 21 10 7 13 23 8 11 10 1 19 26 9 13 15 15 18 26 2 26 18 13) [39 numbers] p. 17: "Silver and Gold 1211" hint p. 113: HOTKWYGWTUWVYYHIZXTMZKSWNLUDFDPRJTNTLRFF [40 letters] p. 173 Challenge Puzzle numbers [numbered to 36 - missing 28 & 29 - so 34 numbers] p. 175: LWWAWKJRNBAYGABNGWIEAMGYMTBHUHVIWLSB ~ MW [38 letters + ~] -Chapter keys pointing in different directions and in different orientations -Chess pieces: quantity spells a message, but is there something in the specific pieces themselves? -how to use the (intentional?) errors/mistakes -additional characters: * (p.60), x (p.76), K ~ (p.144), RIP (p.152)
I sent an e-mail to fennster with all of the solutions that we have. Hopefully, he will get around to updating his initial post with those solutions. Until then, send me a Private Message, if you have a question about a specific puzzle.

Wow, nica!!! Very nice. We had the message, but never put together A-->G (shift of 6) A-->U (shift of 20). Very nice. [It seems so obvious now, but it had us stumped.]
I was pretty sure this wasn't part of the final solution, but it is still good to cross it off the list. Thanks!

Chess pieces – FA ENJOY THE DAY EA SECRET A (chess pieces quantity translates to a letter… but is there a something else hidden in the specific pieces themselves?)
Keys: [Unsolved] – notice the keys point in different directions and in different orientations (CW and CCW) (Probably used for the puzzle on page 171, but I can’t seem to find anything.)
Cover: Secret (Italic letters)
p.7,8,9 Many of lifes failures are by people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up (underlined letters) {quote by Thomas Edison}
p.10 Best of luck with all that you seek! Always Treasure the Adventure! (Caesar +3)

p.17 Don’t limit your challenges, challenge your limits. (Alberti) (Hint 6) (Every Six letters, the cipher amount moves by plus six – the hint has a double meaning) {quote by Jerry Dunn}
p.17 Dance on the edge of mystery (Hint: Silver and Gold 1211) (Alberti) (Silver symbol AG {A to G} and Gold symbol AU {A to U} tells you the shift. +6 for the first 12 letters and +20 for the last 11 letters.) {quote by Alan Cohen}
p.19 altissimum planetam tergeminum obserVaVi - smaismrmilmepoetaleumibunenUgttaUiras (Anagram) [Including this because this has 2 mistakes. ***The two V’s and two U’s.*** Only including this because it seems there are other ‘intentional’ mistakes throughout, which may or may not be involved in the FF coded words.] {quote by Galileo}
p.20 Life will only change when you become more committed to your dreams than you are to your comfort zone. (Anagram) {quote by Billy Cox}

p.22 A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable but more useful than a life spent doing nothing. (Atbash) {quote by George Gernard Shaw} [Can’t help but wonder if the ‘intentional’ errors/mistakes somehow tie into this phrase.]

p.42 Treasure (Null - 1st letter of each sentence, but is there more?)
p.45 The quest may seem obscure at times but that is to allure the mind to deeper finds. (Numeric)
p.46 Don’t mistake lots of activity with triumph. (Numeric) {quote by John Wooden – achievement instead of triumph} [Again, the word - mistake.]
p.46 a little progreEs each day adds up to big results. (Numeric, keyword: Mysterious) {***Mistake?: progreEs should be progreSs***} {quote by Mohsin Jameel / Satya Nani}
p.48 treasure the adveMture (One Time Pad) {***Mistake?: adveMture should be adveNture***} [Can’t help but wonder why the One Time Pad is 68 characters long, when we only use 20. Do we need to use the rest for something else?]
p.48 Blessed are the curious for they will have adventures. (One Time Pad) {quote by Lovelle Drachman}
p.50 Enjoy the journey (Ottendorf)
p.54 Remember Death (Pig Pen)

p.171 small park (Atbash) p.171 beneath east ends corner (Caesar +2) p.171 Route 487 (dot positions) p.171 [Unsolved – clock]
p.173 Poem [Unsolved] p.173 Challenge Puzzle Numbers [Unsolved] [numbered to 36 - missing 28 & 29 - so 34 numbers] I made a transparency, but they don’t seem to overlay to anything. One spot on the Beale #2 has 1,2,4 line up, but 3 doesn’t.
p.175 [Unsolved] LWWAWKJRNBAYGABNGWIEAMGYMTBHUHVIWLSB ~ MW [38 letters + ~]
-additional characters: * (p.60), x (p.76), K ~ (p.144), RIP (p.152)
Back cover: Discover is the treasure of all (bold letters)
‘Secret’ is in the chess pieces, in italic font on the front cover, and the back cover says “countless possibilities secrets can be hidden right in front of you” It sure seems there is a ‘Secret’ somewhere. There are 32 times ‘secret’ is in text in the book. There are 14 times ‘secrets’ is in text in the book. There are 5 times ‘secretly’ is in text in the book. There are 3 times ‘secreted’ is in text in the book. There is 1 time ‘secretive’ is in text in the book. There are 2 times ‘secret’ is in an image. (Of course, without an electronic copy, it is easy to miss these, and my counts might be off.) I’ve looked at 1, 2, 3 words before/after each one, but don’t see anything.
The intentional? mistakes/errors look like this: p03 f p13 a p19 VV p20 ET p31 OD(m) p37 [BKRV] [BKRV] p37 IKJG p40 N p46 E p48 M p76 e p78 a p159 TF p164 AO p168 a
Hard to tell if Jenny is trying to highlight the letter that it is supposed to be, or the letter that is the error. Could look at it these ways: Decoded error: favvetODmuuIKJGIKJGnemeatfaoa Decoded supposed to be: favvtuDOmuuKNOWKNOWmsneajgsna Coded error: fauuteLAjaaABCDABCDn5reajgsna Coded error supposed to be: favvtuALjmmCIJVCIJVm19seajgsna
Page 88/89 also has numerous errors, but I’m not sure they should be included: three to "3" ten hundred to one thousand thirty to three thousand eighteen nineteen to 1819 eighteen twenty-one to 1821 ADDED pounds ADDED for silver thirteen thousand dollars to 13,000 one to "1"

Were Forrest Fenn's second set of hidden words ever solved? I was the first person to solve the first set, according to Jenny, but after the amount of effort it required, I never made a serious attempt at the second set. Now that Forrest is gone (as is the treasure), I would love to know what words Forrest gave Jenny.
