PRIZE #1 HAS BEEN CLAIMED!
At 9:58am Sunday morning, US Virginia time, I received a valid Prize #1 submission email with the final kodeword and an explanation for how it was found from Katherine Gordon of Lightwood Games in Staffordshire, UK (who worked with Chris and Helen).
At 12:53am early Monday morning, US Virginia time, I received another valid Prize #1 submission email with the final kodeword and an explanation for how it was found from WillFlame from Canada (who worked with r3mark, AvaLovelace, and KittyHawk).
At 5:56am Monday morning, US Virginia time, I received another valid Prize #1 submission email with the final kodeword and an explanation for how it was found from Team oztuzzlers (Pon, 12eV, BT, and Conqueror from Thailand and the US).
As these submission were within 24 hours of the initial correct submission, the rules state that Prize #1 shall be equally divided between these submitters.
24 hours have now passed from the first receipt of a valid claim for Prize #1, so no more valid claims for Prize #1 can be made and Prize #1 is now considered fully claimed and will be divided between these submitters.
Congratulations to the winners!
AND WHAT ABOUT PRIZE #2??
I continue to accept submissions for Prize #2. I will also separately continue to accept submissions for the final kodeword that I will confirm or deny as if Prize #1 was still unclaimed, as knowledge of whether a final kodeword submission is correct could be helpful in claiming Prize #2. One daily submission can be made for each prize separately (i.e., participants can make a submission for the final kodeword and also make a separate submission for Prize #2, both in the same 24 hour period).
Note that if and when a valid submission for Prize #2 is made AND 24 hours have passed, I will make another similar announcement about the winner or winners of Prize #2. I will not comment now on whether any such submissions have occurred already yet or not. Reminder: any submissions for Prize #2 must contain a complete description of where each and every kodeword was found in the kards.
For participants close to finding the final kodeword and/or all of the kodewords, I suggest reviewing all of the KA. For emphasis, I offer below again the final three pieces of advice from KA4 for finding the final kodeword:
. Don't overthink the last part of the process of finding the final kodeword...
. The final kodeword that claims Prize #1 has nine letters.
. There are a few confirmers for the final kodeword in the kards. Some are weak confirmers and some are strong confirmers...
Good luck to all!
