I have hit a wall but won’t give up!

Anyone else working on this hunt! I felt like I was breaking this really easy until I hit a wall and no matter what I try, I cannot seem to move forward! Anyone else working on this, I would love to compare notes and see if we can move it forward!

Is this hunt even still happening? I decoded the majority of the book one night at a bar and found it completely straightforward and simple (hint: even without the clues, all but one section could be solved as a simple cryptogram) though I found the writing itself tedious, so once the book was decoded, I stopped working on the hunt entirely. That decision was also influenced by the writer disappearing from the internet, the purchase site being deleted and no new clues emerging, though the author does give out his personal phone number (?) in the last chapter of the book.

I don't have any burning desire to solve/win the hunt, but I am more than happy to share any ideas or thoughts I had if folks are still working on it. Also, I live in California now, so once we can go BOTG again, I'm happy to go and fetch the key -- was it even a key? I can't remember what we were even looking for -- for whoever solves it. And no, it's not in Los Angeles, from what I can tell. If it were, I might've stuck with it out of convenience.

Any update on this hunt? Was the key located? Did the author just dip out after selling enough books?

The author was supposed to give weekly video clues. But after selling his books, he stopped giving clues. He claims that there are family health issues, and he doesn't have time for the clues. But it has been a long time, and he is present on facebook quite frequently.

I don't know what to believe or think. If he doesn't have time for his hunt, he should just come clean and say so. Address it publically. Let people know what is going on. Is the hunt still active? Is is on hold? Is it called off?

I feel like I wasted time and money on this one.

For all of those who may still be looking for the key, please know that the key is still out there. Treasure amount is now $512 and growing albeit slowly but it grows none the less.
While you may think that I have disappeared this is completely untrue. I continue to promote the book as well as answer questions in DM. If you are still interested please visit me at Darien Gillen on Facebook.
I will tell you this, it is not in Los Angeles but it is in California.
Also, as I have made clear in the past to some, I do not have a problem with partnering with someone you know in the area of the search they do not need to purchase the book in order to partner with you and locate the key.
As for the video or videos, I would ask that you all please understand that I still work a full-time job, as well as maintain the elements over the hunt. The choice to discontinue producing videos with additional clues was a hard thought process as each set of clues eliminated interest from outside my area. You and anyone searching does not need videos to solve the puzzles or to find the key. There is simply enough information in the book to complete the entire hunt.
Again, if you have questions you can DM me and see if I will answer them. I will respond to your DM‘s however based on the question you ask you may very well be disappointed in my response. That does not mean that I have no answers. It simply means that there are answers to questions that I cannot give even though I will respond to your question.
Please also understand that during the time of the original video productions I was experiencing a very dire situation in my personal life and that had to be addressed, and it gave me time to fully understand that I needed to limit the continuing videos.
