Hi Searchers,
I was just wondering if any of you have followed any Masonic leads in the poem and TTOTC? Symbology and numerology particularly numbers like 37/53 with regards to 3/4/5 right angled triangles etc. Solomons Temple, Baby Ruth (Ruth's baby = widows son = Hiram Abiff).
The significance in page numbers, symbology of letters T and O, crescent moon. I think there is more to solving this puzzle than simple geography and you really need a "deep thinking treasure hunter" to fully get it. Like Petter Amundsen and the Oak Island treasure.
You can't just walk into nature on a hunch with a metal detector or into a general area and look under stones and logs. You can, for fun, but not to find the treasure. In order to get to that 12 foot range you need to know exactly where you are going and I think that is through coordinates. And coordinates mean numbers. And numbers derived from text means ciphers and gematria.
I have found several examples of Bacon ciphers in TTOTC - Curious if other have the same?
Equal Letter Skips are plenty of examples. Like LABAN (Alban, St Alban?)
If Fenn felt like an architect drawing the poem, he must surely have been dealing with angles and lines on maps. Also, maybe along the lines of Hiram Abif, King Solomon's architect. He did it tired (Hiram King of Tyre), remember?

A couple of years ago I looked into a Masonic connection while I was exploring a connection to Buffalo Bill Cody. From memory I will recount some things I found, but you will need to confirm them as memory is a leaky boat.
Forrest was a board member and contributor to the Buffalo Bill museum just east of Yellowstone. William Cody was a Mason and was buried in Masonic funeral tradition. This led me down a rabbit hole of Buffalo Bill.
Buffalo Bill died at his sister's near Denver and was buried there. There is a conspiracy theory that his body was swapped out by a group of his friends to honour his wish to be buried on a mountain looking over Cody, the town he founded and near his ranch. There was a divide between Masonic and Catholic religions at that time and he supposedly asked for Catholic last rights. The Catholic parish was the parish of "Meeker" (no place for the meek?).
His ranch was eventually sold to an executive of the Coca-cola company. Then again to another executive from the same company. Perhaps this is the bottle cap and soda references.
His daughter Irma lived in a hotel he built, I think it was in Meeteetse but may be wrong on that. She sold it but was able to live on until her death as a condition of the sale. Reminded me a lot of tea with Olga story. Again, fact check that as I think I have it right but it may have been the next owner that had that arrangement.
Here is where it gets awesome and almost got me to go BOTG. If you look at the National Historic site databases for buildings east of Yellostone to Cody you find one very near the gate that was a lodge and hunting lodge of Bill Cody's. It was submitted for registration by one of the Board presidents at the Buffalo Bill museum, her name escapes me. Looking her up you find that she is buried in...wait for it...Forrest Fenns private graveyard. Also, if you look at the map that is online on the Lodge website you will see that it is constructed exactly like a level 2 Masonic map. It even has what looks like a treasure, and someone carrying a backpack with what appears to be valuables in it by the radiating diagram.
I have to go to a movie with my family, will try to fill in some more of my scattered memories later.

Since I was curious, I looked her up and is buried in Riverside Cemetery in Cody, which seems to be owned by the Riverside district. Any sources that show Fenn's involvement with that cemetery?

Yes, I am referring to Margaret Coe. I envy those with good notes. I am more like a bloodhound that gets a scent in my nose and three hours later I have 18 tabs open and don't know how I got there or why I even started. It does lead me places I don't think many get though. I now can't find the reference to Forrest private graveyard. If I do I will post it in this thread. So other random observations on the Cody area though. Just south is Heart mountain, also known as Hart mountain. Forrest has said in several places that the place is dear to him. A deer is also known as a hart. A heart is a place where warm water (blood) halts. I find "halt" an interesting word because halt implies stop then go, like blood in the heart. Heart mountain was an internment camp for Japanese Americans in the war. There is some question as to why this mountain is alone, away from other mountains. One theory is that it actually floated on a river of it's own lava during a violent eruption. The lava fields near there are also large. Perhaps where warm water halts is the end of a lava field. Mountain man Joseph Meek also was in the area and found the sulphur stench from Colters Hell, at the time a very active area, like hell itself - you might say it was no place for the Meek. Anyway, that is just a sample of lots of interesting items from the area. More confirmation bias abounds for anyone willing to look. Ultimately not where I think it is but it wouldn't really surprise me.

Forrest has made a ton of “stone” references. Masons are stone workers.
