Dear Forrest, Now that the 2014 search season has ended, can you summarize the results? Ie: is anyone close to the treasure chest? Has anyone given you a solve? Thanks, puttputt. I know of a few searchers who have been reasonably close to the treasure puttputt, but there is no indication that they knew it. No one has given me the correct solve past the first two clues.f mysteriouswritings.com/featured-question-with-forrest-are-searchers-closer-than-200-feet/

when forrest mentions clues solved, it is always two. they seem to go together. if you have the first you have the second.
wwwh is first. the canyon has to be second.
it's tftw or hoB that is tripping searchers up.

here's a quote from MW that the question asks about the two clues, and forrest talks about the first clue. the first and second clue are the same area. only different clues for the same spot. Forrest, you have stated that several searchers correctly identified the first two clues in your poem. Could you tell us how many searchers to your knowledge have correctly identified the first clue correctly? Thanks. ~49 Dollars No 49, I cannot tell you how many searchers have identified the first clue correctly, but certainly more than several. I cannot imagine anyone finding the treasure without first identifying the starting point, although many seem to be preoccupied with later clues. To me that’s just expensive folly. f mysteriouswritings.com/featured-question-with-forrest-first-clue/

Thrillchaser: it's one of my favorite quotes, and I'm happy that Forrest chose to answer the question regarding 1-clue solvers.

ThrillChaser, I agree it seems the two go together..... In a recent video, Forrest says, 'The canyon is there'... at WWWH.... I don't have the link at the moment though.... maybe someone else can give it.....

I think it's a place, not a distance.

I think it's a place, not a distance. I agree with that.

We are told go from 'place to place'.....so it seems it would be both. mysteriouswritings.com/featured-questions-and-answers-on-the-thrill-of-the-chase-treasure-hunt-with-forrest-fenn-%ef%bb%bf/ 15)Is all we have to do is work out what your words mean and follow them? Like walk from place to place like a scavenger hunt or what? Yes, and take your map with you But it is interesting in the above Q/A, Forrest says 'yes' to: 'WALK' from place to place...... does that mean we don't drive away from WWWH and 'put in' elsewhere? Course we can't forget the word, 'like' in the Q.....so driving could be 'like' walking, at least for going from WWWH to the 'put in' (or the next place)... but What if Forrest took it as exactly like?

www.pekintimes.com/article/20130713/NEWS/130719843While nobody has found it yet, some have come closer than they know. “There have been several parties of people who have figured out the first two clues,” he said. “But nobody has correctly interpreted the full nine clues.” He said he hasn’t told anybody just how close they’ve been because “they’d go crazy.”
