I think what makes it special is because something he found and I'm willing to bet it was a quiver with a arrow shaft that was missing the Arrowhead. So many years between that first little Arrowhead he found in Texas. It was probably just laying there on the ground forever just waiting on him to find it. If some people have heard him tell the story then that's why he can't say what makes the place special because some people know where already.

It is interesting to consider what would make a spot special..... what would make a spot special to you?
For Forrest, was it finding something there? I like your idea.... but is it a location he went with someone special? Is it a place which inspired him to go a different path in his life? or what?
When I think of my special spots, and I have a few, I ask myself, are they places I could hide not only a treasure but could die peacefully there (without worry someone would be close).... mine are not so 'isolated' like that.... but Forrest's must be....
Still though... if they were isolated, what location would I want to share with the world, and have know, it was special to me?
One comes to my mind always.... it's the place my Dad would take us kids to watch the stars.....we lived on a farm, and my dad would take us (my brothers and sisters) on a hayride in the back field late at night, away from everything, to watch meteor showers.....
It's what inspired my book 'Higher and Higher'.....

I've seen tons of beauty in the world and all the places hold equal value in my heart. One life changer place i will never forget was where my mother passed on. She was always my source of warm flowing Waters. Even today she is.
