Does anyone know about Las Vegas, NM and his map collection?

I remember a while back when Mike and Kristi were selling the maps. If I recall correctly, they had to be picked up in Las Vegas, NM - is that right? If so, does anyone know why he had them there and what the connection is? I've just been wondering the past few days why he would have a bunch of stuff in Las Vegas, NM - an hours drive from Santa Fe - when he has a workshop, San Lazaro, and all this other stuff so close to Santa Fe? Why keep anything (especially maps) in Las Vegas, NM?

If anyone knows the whole story, I'd just be interested to know.

Mike was the one selling the maps, Forrest wasn't involved at that point. Mike lives in Las Vegas NV, so the maps were being shipped from there.

I'm pretty sure that when Mike BOUGHT the maps, they had to be picked up in Las Vegas, NM....can anyone confirm this, or am I wrong?

I knew Mike lived in Las Vegas, NV - but I don't think I'm conflating the two - I believe the original map auction - that Mike bought them from - said that they had to be picked up in Las Vegas, NM.

I'm not sure that's all of the listing...I could swear that when I read the original that it said something about needing to pick up the maps (and cases - which were heavy, etc..) - but maybe someone will remember....or maybe my brain is turning to mush - lol.
