Gallows Harbor Treasure Hunt News!

This hunt looks very intriguing.

If I am not mistaken, Beil's hunts are bent toward information and landmarks (sometimes hinted to) to get one close to the treasure. Then, metal detecting often comes into play.

I had some problem pinpointing Gallows Harbor on Google maps, but found this on wikipedia. Looking forward to the information and background stories Charles will provide.

astree, that area is near where he lives, so that makes a lot of sense. But I thought he mentioned that he was hiding five (?) treasures to go along with this story. They may not all be in the same area. I guess we'll find out when the book is published.

Thanks you two. I went back and reviewed some of the information and links in other threads for this hunt. Charles did say that the hunt spanned three states, but I’m not sure if they are side-by-side or not. Jenny, are you mentioning Salem because of the article that Charles linked about the Salem Witch trials, As the gallows Harbor also has a connection to witches. and Gallow Hill is mentioned in the Salem article

No, H had posted that he had hidden a cache and was back from New England! He was around Salem and Gloucester, Mass.

All we've heard really is that H is in the process of hiding the rest of the chests and caches....... and that the first book is to be released via a Kickstarter later in the summer once he's done hiding them......... Summer is ending quick though.....

There have been some images posted on the Facebook Group..... I'll try and add them here through the next week or so..... for all to see, because I know not everyone is on Facebook.

On one of the images he posted, I think he was scouting a site on some cliffs. I thought he said he never put anyone in any kind of danger, such as on cliffs??!! And if he is only scouting sites to hide the treasure, how can he have the story and clues done?

I have been researching Gallows Harbor since it started. Charles just released a map of the location to those that have preordered his book. He said it had no clues. That probably applied to new searchers. Here's what I got from it. I am a bit physic, I might add. The 6 big chests are hidden in 3 states, Mass, CT, PA.  I would guess 2 big chests at each location. In PA, that would be Gallows Harbor, in CT the location is Devils Hopyard State Park, Mass. is a bit tricky because I don't know the area.  I will give you the clues and maybe you can add some help. One of these will point to the Mass. location.  Hawyhron Hall, or Brafbury Farmhouse.  I have subscribed for the book. The clues in it will sharply define the cache location of the 6 big chests and a lot of smaller caches Charles has hidden. The latest on the book is 5000 Pre orders are required to get this hunt really rolling and the ones pre ordering will be in on the ground floor of the hunt. Look at it this way, each chest will be worth over $100,000.  I would show you images of the chests, but the entry process is different than I am use to.  Things seem to be shifting.------------------------  I stand corrected: It appears that Charles did state that the areas of search were PA., Mass., & NY. But his latest release of the treasure map has Devils Hopyard on it. He also has recently stated that there are (6 "large" chests hidden) He also stated that there are 6 smaller ones and other caches at these locations like the glass skull. So I am guessing that things are bound to change as the cache evolves up to the point where the book is finally published. Does anyone know how to post pictures here? My Images usually pop up for selection. I have pictures of all 6 chests .

Devils Hopyard is only 1.4 square miles, but heavily forested. Any chest there must NOT have been buried, state park regulations prohibit that. Most likely tucked in between some tree trunks and rocks with branches and leaves for cover. Regs didn't appear to mention any ban on metal detectors, but for that large a forested area, the time to cover it all thoroughly would be a few decades. H has stated the 3 states are New York (with 3 hidden there), PA, (3 to be hidden there), and 1 in Mass. CT is not one of the states, according what H had said.

Along with that, H said the other smaller caches would be hidden in those 3 states as well.
