With this year’s extra obstacle to BOTG of the Coronavirus in addition to weather, I’m curious how others are approaching BOTG? The snow is melting or melted in many elevations and the search states seem to be opening up and dropping the out-of-state quarantine restrictions. The first of June seems reasonable to go. But for many searchers there is the question of whether to drive or fly because of CV. And I’m sure many in some small communities won’t look kindly on strangers coming in. Although some might appreciate the business. Those looking in Yellowstone may have to wait a bit longer. Just curious how folks are thinking about this?

I'm taking it day by day..... already had to cancel a few plans.... but hope to 'reschedule' later...depending....

I believe some are out now...but Forrest recently told us to wait until 1 June for botg.

On the FB pages, you hear of many who are out searching..... and if done safely, all good. But for some of us who have to travel far (like myself), the travel restrictions and closures of certain places is an obstacle still....

I agree, if you have to stop several times for gas...that's unsafe!

I’m trying to decide if it’s safer to fly or drive. Probably neither but I am itching to get out there. Driving seems safer but then I wonder about hotels and food. I may just put a mattress in the back of my SUV, load up on food, and head out and see what happens.

I don't feel it is unsafe to stop for gas. I feel confident I can protect myself, and others, by simply following guidelines - mask, gloves, wipe touched surfaces down-
It is more the issue of the closures.....
