Good introductory video Jenny! One thing that’s important that has been proven repeatable in the 3 found casques is the actual orientation of the gem in each image. Chicago - gem is hanging below a loop earring....hint that it’s in the South Loop neighborhood where Grant Park is located. Cleveland - gem is surrounded by square grey object....hint that it’s in a cement planter. Boston - gem is being held by the fairy diagonally, rather than square....hint that it’s in a ball diamond.
Some of the others we just haven’t interpreted the gem orientation correctly. Once we do it will narrow the dig locations for the remaining casques significantly. Have an idea where a couple of the remaining casques could be using this methodology. It’s 3/3 with the found casques, stands to reason it works for all 12.

I have to slightly disagree with JM. A tiny 2D graphing is required along X and Y axis (or is it axes?!) to determine the dig spot. Cleveland: Beneath the tenth stone -- From right to left, Beneath the ninth row from the top Intersection of X=Tenth stone and Y=ninth row. Chicago: The end of ten by thirteen, Fence and fixture -- Central too Intersection of X=Center of Fence and fixture and Y= The end of ten by thirteen Boston: Feel at home, Take five steps, A green tower of lights Intersection of X=green tower of lights and Y=five steps (strides) from homeplate (3rd base line)

Also Th. north of X riddle can be explained 2 ways. If X is the dig spot then north of it would be Th. or third base. If X is homeplate then north would still be third base (Th.) Xenophon literally means 'sounds like xeno'. Zero sounds like xeno. Call the homeplate zero base!

Makes sense to me, always thought it was up the 3rd base line where it intersected the light standard. It would be very much like the intersection of fence and fixture in Chicago. Of course we will never know, but makes more sense than being buried directly under home plate IMHO.

Image 1 practically uses the same methodology as Image 11. Boston Globe -- SF Chronicle Map of the area of interest on women's robes One thing bothers me is that pointy leaf in the map, 'In the middle section'. Is it pointing to a specific spot or just the middle field? Other leaves in the perimeter are the entrances.

Looking at the Chicago puzzle for the first time, Preiss was very specific with the coordinates in that image. He gave 2 numbers past the decimal point for latitude and longitude. I really didn't see where he gave the exact spot of the casque unless the clue "Central too", meant the casque was centered between the end point of 10 x 13 and the fence and fixture.

So to continue on the image 11 methodology for image 1, the map of Pier 39 is in the dragon's wing. Accurate to the block numbers. Also dragon claws may form 39. Similarly T & X riddle for SF could be the E & J riddle. This could be the intersection of Embarcadero and Jefferson, right in front of Pier 39 which is next to Pier 43, stonewall's door? Fits nicely to Chinese immigration and travel from Angel Isl.

As was mentioned there is a word in each verse that matches or hints to the image location for the first 3 casque location . Like fence and fixture for the fence image , Feel at home you got the home plate and for Cleveland the gem is in a flower pot ( rectangular plot). These are close to the centre of each painting.
Try this. Draw a line from corner to corner for each of the paintings ( so you get an “X”) and you will see that the line crosses through the middle of the home plate ,the fence ,and the flower pot in the first three finds. Now do this for the other images and you will see for Quebec City ( not Montreal) that the line passes through the flag stone shape( negative space shape made by the fingers crossing) , white stone closest, ( by the way you can make out the word “gIRL“ on the hands). For Milwaukee it passes through the lions face ( at its southern foot). For St. Augustine the line passes through the middle of one of the stone patterns on the image ( which happen to match the shape of the sections of land bordered by the pathways in the Fountain of Youth park). Now that stone in the lower right corner with the palm tree in the painting can be a large stone inside the park or it could represent the shape of the section of land and that it is telling you to look in that corner. Do the same for the other images and see if you can match a verse word or line to something that falls on the line and is bisected.

Been following the Chicago chatter over on Q4T with interest. My interpretation is that 10 x 13 is the 2 row of trees and where they intersect in the north-west corner got you to the treasure ground. For the exact dig spot for the casque my interpretation is that would be where a straight line heading east from the centre of the fence post with the halo intersected with a straight line heading south from the centre of the fixture (utility box on the wall). That would put you out on the lawn where the boys dug.
Boston was much the same...line the baseline on the 3rd base sign up with the green light fixture and then you dig where they intersect.
Cleveland was contained and you had to follow the other instructions to tell you exactly where in the box to dig.
It remains to be seen if these methods work for the remaining casques or if there are other yet to be discovered methods to determine the exact dig spot.

That's what the Chicago argument is all about. The map that boys sent to BP used the end of the 10 X 13 trees spot and the fence fixture and marked the X right in the center. However the actual "X" may've been much closer to the wall. Multiple walk-through videos point to different spots. On one video with JM, the spot pointed out is in front of the fence fixture where on two other videos the spot is much closer to the wall (north). Enter electrical box fixture theory.

Trees grow, can be cut down, etc. too risky and too variable IMHO. The centre of a line between the corner tree and the crooked fence post with the halo is hard to determine and would vary as the tree grows. On the other hand the intersect point between straight lines from the crooked fence post with the halo and the electrical box would be fairly exact and have much more permanence. My $0.02 on the matter

...and the snow video; abc7chicago.com/hobbies/chicago-treasure-hunter-retraces-steps/3045078/Incidently, if you look closely at the earring, you can see that maybe it has something written on it (a number?) - anyway, regardless if it has something written on it, you can also see the darker partial shading, possibly meant as a pointer to a lighter, very faint covering, of what could have been green moss on the nearest tree, on its northern and south western sides in the early 1980's. (Although not the nearest tree, at timestamp ~01:39 you can see what appears to be a lighter green sheen of faint moss on the similar size park tree on its south western side). Of course, the growth of moss can spread and contract, changing over the decades. In our present time, a faint sheen of green moss can still be seen on the northern side of the nearest tree; www.google.com/maps/@41.878271,-87.6221104,3a,15y,224.47h,87.86t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sC3ciCoeUVl5WtzeAF8XArw!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?hl=en An additional pointer may be the kink in the earring - there may be a bark crevice in the nearest tree about the same location on its circumference (just visible at around the 02:00 timestamp, and in the JM and Rob video mentioned at Q4T about the 01:25 timestamp).

I always thought the earring was a reference to the Chicago Loop with the jewel buried in a grassy area just to the south (which is where the jewel was found).
Grant Park has a unique outline...go look at the Hounds of News image on page 181. Look at the barkeeps towel...exact shape of Grant Park and the top of the typewriter is the shape of a giant “C”.
Behind the left ear in the Chicago image it says “Red stars”. If you are familiar with the City of Chicago flag it has 4 red stars.
Also looks like the chimney closest to the top of the Chicago image has the word “fire” written on it. Hint to the Great Chicago Fire of 1871.
