How much is the solve, the back story l, the location, and any other information related to the recovery of the treasure worth? Is it possible that the finder is making or negotiating a deal right now with Some entity like a network channel or a book deal to do a reveal all for a good sum of money?

I would say that is likely.

It's worth a lot, for sure. Whether they would risk compromising their anonymity in return for even more money, we will see.

I'm one of the people who will continue to try and solve the puzzle, why? Because it's a puzzle and I haven't solved it yet, the chest would of been nice but I'm a puzzle solver, researcher by nature, I'll go find old bottles or artifacts just to research them. So just because the chest is gone doesn't mean it's over for me the clues and location are still there, if the guy who found it thinks it's his and Forrests spot alone and no one else can find it before the finder writes a book, he better hurry, lol.

All ff has to say is that someone else or others have sent him the solution as well and we’d all be BOTG for silver rather than gold.

It's not worth much unless it is made into a movie. Even then, unless it is a really good movie... only chasers will likely watch it. And probably only a few chasers.
No one will make a network channel out of is because there would only be one episode. The treasure has been found. What would you do with other episodes?
A book will only sell a few copies... even if it is a really good book.
Why are the above not worth much unless extremely exceptional? Because once a few people know the story, it will be blasted all over the internet in less than a day. At that point, there will not be much of a need to watch a movie or network channel nor read a book.
Once we know the answers to where and poem connections... who cares about the story? Chasers are mostly the only ones interested in the story. Unless of course there is some exciting danger involved... that non-chasers would be interested in reading or watching. Who wants to watch someone look at maps and wander in the wood looking under rocks and logs. And the Chasers only want to know how close they were and how close their solve was. Once they read it on the internet, all thrill of the chase is over.

I could be wrong... but I never have been before. Just ask my wife! ;^)

As time passes, I’m less convinced that there actually is a legitimate finder. I’m also less interested in hearing or believing their story. As time passes, the value of the finder’s story (whether it’s true or a farce) decreases exponentially.
