Forrest's mention of being reincarnated as Captain Kidd seems out of place coming after the poem as it does, he also mentioned being 'jarred' awake which made me think that we maybe seeking something in one of Forrest's jars, not unreasonable is it.?
'IMPORTANT LITERATURE' has Forrest mentioning J.D. Salinger and saying he had never heard of him, so why later does he only refer to him very personally on as JD? Remember he threw his book in the trash where it landed right on top of a TIME Magazine, it is because TIME is relevant but in only relating to the clockface.
A clockface is a circle, and my pursuit of the treasure led me to a circular cistern as Clue 9. A clockface is divided into 12 parts and so is the Zodiac, remember Forrest looking at the stars whilst sat on gravestone (symbolising burial).
Forrest used a system which related to converting letters to numbers and vice versa. The word 'TIME' adds up to 47 which is the atomic number for 'SILVER' the circle I discovered was littered with trash. So 'SILVER' was in the trash, bear with me.
Forrest's ball of string goes missing, a clue to us to look for things missing in the poem and stories. I guess we all know there is no 'X' in the poem, so what is missing in the stories. Look for rainbow colors in the stories, there is every color barring Indigo and Violet notice their initial letters together are 'IV' it should be clear to see that these are Roman numerals on a clockface. X is 10 and IV is 4 and they oppose each other on the clockface. So is it not interesting that 'J' is 10 in the alphabet and 'D' is 4. This is why Forrest relates to Salinger as 'JD'
If you consider this credible get a clock face print out in Roman numerals and follow along. Connect these two numerals by a line, they halve a clockface don't they. So what if Forrest intended us to find the missing surname?
The clue to this comes from the end of 'Rainy Night Blessings' Page 78 in OUAW, it is "Don't underestimate the power of a quarter. So if we quarter the clockface we have to use 1 and 7 which in the alphabet are A and G and 'AG' is 'SILVER'. Who is the pirate with that surname? However the initials are wrong, you need to go to the Zodiac Teaching Wheel which is downloadable. Now compare it with the 10 on the clock position and it shows it as 12 the letter 'L' and where 4 is on the clock is 6 on the Zodiac, 4+6 =10 which in the alphabet is 'J' what was 1 on the clock is now '9' and 9 in the alphabet is 'I' and what was 7 on the clock is now 3 on the Zodiac which is 'C'
This puzzle reveals 'L. J. SILVER I SEE' you should see on the clockface and Zodiac an 'X'
'X' marks the spot on old pirate maps doesn't it.
This all confirmed to me that 'Silver' was buried in the middle of the circle, as the geometry on the map I followed ended here.
