- Robert Redford's book. FF says "IF" RR had written a book... RR wrote a book that I am sure Fenn has, and it is probably a signed first edition. Page 128 of "The Outlaw Trail" contains a photo which has WWWH, MEEK (way in the background) as well as Drawing Nigh.
- In Gold and More FF lies about the chest. It is actually from the 19th century. 1150 AD is a date from the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
- the cap letter Brown. What ELSE has sneaky Caps? Why does he describe contents of chest as a 'family bible' no cap B or a 'Book Of Days' caps? The Book of Days is a song by Enya. Title Track to the movie "Far and Away" which describes the final X marks the spot.
- He also plays funny with writing numbers. He proves that he know the grammar rules by starting a sentence "Sixty-Four years..." but then he breaks that rule when describing the 254 rubies in the Lady's bracelet... the "other bracelet" in the chest.

I can see my blaze on Google Earth and it looks like a Pacman or pie with a piece missing. It looks a lot like the circle where the kids are playing marbles.
Also, "marvel" is important.

Susie Fennhaven (I believe she was first) brought to our attention on the id card on the shaded part of the left column reading down spells "in a cipher". For those of you who don't have the book: Identification Name City Phone Employed by (here half the m was shaded and would be r) Social Security No Hi goldilocks. I don't see an "r" to finish off the word "cipher." Am I missing something? EDIT: Apologies, I rushed a little and didn't see your explanation for the r.

Hi gnossos. That's very interesting about the date of the chest. A hint to the movie, is that your point? Are all of those your own discovery? I know that the Redford book has been talked about quite a bit. I'm anxious to add those, waiting for that last bit of info. Good stuff.

I believe Redford is important because of his connection to "A River Runs Through It." I believe many scenes were filmed on the Boulder River which is only a few miles from my blaze.

But isn't that a little bit generic? Now, if you had the treasure in hand, now THAT would be a discovery. Edit...maybe not though.

My explanation for the Redford mention was also "A River Runs Through It," and just as it is untrue that Redford never wrote anything, "A River Runs Through It" was not filmed on the Blackfoot. Much of it was on the Gallatin. Thus: "Movies lie to you."

I found a place that was practically identical to the pic of stumps on pg 146 of TTOTC. It was flat and about 20 acres of nothing but stumps. And I mean NOTHING. No fallen trees, no cut off branches, no new tree growth, no fire indications, no saw dust. All cut around the same time. The area looked to be about 8 to 10 years old in 2016. 2018 was my last time there. The area was at about 7800 feet in elevation, had sage and pinion nearby. Access was a well maintained dirt road. It was a beautiful area aside from 20 acres of stumps.
I was able to line up the pic with the stumps in about 10 areas facing different directions. Drove me crazy walking the 20 acres but I definitely was able to line up in at least 10 spots, but I gave up after that. I especially looked for the stump that the woodsman had his foot. I found 10 and searched real good. It took me 6 trips at 4 days per trip before I threw in the towel on that rabbit hole. Not many clues in the poem fit the area... but I checked it out damn it!!!

Hi gnossos. That's very interesting about the date of the chest. A hint to the movie, is that your point? Are all of those your own discovery? I know that the Redford book has been talked about quite a bit. I'm anxious to add those, waiting for that last bit of info. Good stuff. The clues are paired. Two books (Redford's and Powell's) Two Songs (CCR/Green River and Enya/Book of Days) and Two Movies ("Indiana Jones/Last Crusade" and "Far and Away"). .... In "The Last Crusade" the 3 brothers leave the Holy Land with the GRAIL around 1000 AD. 150 years later two of them walked out of the desert but only one made it (two can keep a secret...) QED 1150 AD. In the library scene (Stamp - BOOM- stamp BOOM = Postage Stamps?) Jones finds the X smack dab in the middle of the floor. Earlier in the movie there is the famous quote about "Never following a treasure map" and "X never EVER marks the spot." both of which are ironically disproved by the movie. It also fits in with the 'tarry scant/marvel gaze' thing.... I have more posted on my solution site wherecoolwaterflows.comI am so sad that I did not find the chest when I was there last November. :-(

I updated the OP. I also edited it some. I'm having difficulty with this because it's morphed into something other than the discoverers, and into discoveries themselves. The first idea of discoverers was going to be hard because a lot of these are very debatable. Now, with discoveries, we're getting into opinions and speculations on the meanings of things, and I didn't intend that either. So I'm going to try to pick out the discoveries only, and leave out opinions and speculations. But even that's hard to do, and if you look at what I edited, I'll try to continue in that fashion. The biggest change was that I removed the post about the large brown letters, as that didn't really have a discovery in it.
I should have thought about this thread more, and defined it more, in the first place. But I'm a rookie at this, bear with me please.

OK, why not another... Remember how Forrest mentioned Osbourne Russell's Journal of a Trapper multiple times. That made me pay attention to that book, not an easy read as it was never meant to be a book. OR describes the Madison as it flows out of what would become YNP, and right by my WWWH, as going into a canyon. The Lake built in about 1915 hides my canyon and explains why it is "too far to walk", because we can't walk on water now can we...
