Over the years, searchers have found critical hints (or what looks very much like hints) in the books.
Does anyone have any names?
1 - One I can think of is OH!, who found the 109 and 43 numbers on the edges of pictures in TTOTC.
I'll look that up to be sure, I saw it recently in one of his posts over at Kpro's site ('The Hint Of Riches').
Edit: Here's a link to OH!'s recent post on the subject...

My old computer died a year ago and I lost a lot of info.
I remember someone made a list the stamps, and some commentary, but I don't remember who that was. They were the first that I know of to mention the same stamp being duplicated from "Gold And More", and it's duplicate on page 51 of TTOTC (the only stamp on an odd numbered page). These were the only two stamps that were perfectly the same.
Someone else found hidden images inside of images in TTOTC, and maybe the other books. This one I should have made notes on, but I didn't due to being busy with other things.
These are the sort of definite discoveries that I'm talking about.
I think it would be cool if we had a list of these discoverers, along with what they found.
Any contributions? I'll update this list as we go.
2 - Discovery by sledneck...Skippy's car in Buffalo Cowboys is wrong (pictures), has found a car in the right spot on location. See post in this thread, page #1.
3 - Per the Stamps (above), Discoverer Zaphod revealed the only set of two identical stamps (confirmed at best by my memory) some years ago on these forums. Still looking for the name of the other poster who provided detailed info (including wrong days to dates?).
4 - Lady V with some images found hidden in TTOTC, see post in this thread at link mysteriouswritings.proboards.com/post/51614/thread
5 - Susie Fennhaven discoverer, provided by goldilocks, "in a cipher" found in FF's drivers license. See goldilock's post here: mysteriouswritings.proboards.com/post/51604/thread
6, 7, 8, and 9 - by gnossos in post in this thread, link: mysteriouswritings.proboards.com/post/51615/thread ....
6 - Robert Redford's book. FF says "IF" RR had written a book... RR wrote a book that I am sure Fenn has, and it is probably a signed first edition.
(Page 128 of "The Outlaw Trail" contains a photo which has WWWH, MEEK (way in the background) as well as Drawing Nigh.)
6.1 - Goldhunter and zaphod tie "A River Runs Through It" to the Redford connection.
7 - In Gold and More FF lies about the chest. It is actually from the 19th century. 1150 AD is a date from the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
8 - the cap letter Brown. What ELSE has sneaky Caps? Why does he describe contents of chest as a 'family bible' no cap B or a 'Book Of Days' caps? The Book of Days is a song by Enya. Title Track to the movie "Far and Away" which (may) describes the final X marks the spot.
9 - He also plays funny with writing numbers. He proves that he know the grammar rules by starting a sentence "Sixty-Four years..." but then he breaks that rule when describing the 254 rubies in the Lady's bracelet... the "other bracelet" in the chest.
