goo.gl/maps/bK6xR1hpgL4tt1yg7 If this link does not work I will try to repost it. The above image of the cistern within a few days of our leaving on 29th September 2019. On returning home I worked further on the puzzle believing something was buried in the center of it. We booked flights to return late September 2020. On June 6th it was announced the treasure had been found. Out of curiousity I went back on Google Earth Pro and discovered the imagery had been updated on 10/7/2019.The image clearly shows that the cistern's trash had been pushed to one side to allow freedom to dig in its center. The white looking mass is the dried out algae which covered broken branches of wood strewn all over the base of the cistern. It was not in this condition when my friend and I left it. Fortunately for me, or unfortunately for someone else 'Google Earth' had captured this image within days of our leaving. What intrigues me most is: If, as I believed, the Silver Bracelet was buried in the center and with it information to the chest's whereabouts in a pine forest, maybe close by, why would the one who retrieved it wait a good 9 months before retrieving the chest. Whoever it was knew that without it the chest was still safe. This is very curious! indigo

I also tried to "fix" the URL, changing "goo.gl" to "google", and that didn't do it either. It's curious, but who knows. How deep is that cistern? Could a bear have climbed out after digging around in the wood for a dead critter it's nose picked up? This hit on something else too. In my researches, I discovered that there were hints or clues at the various museums mentioned, and surrounding them. Plus other locations I found that worked as guides to my solve by offering intriguing possibilities, but seemed more like "just another clue" (from 'National Treasure'). And they pointed to the true location (if mine was right) (or if they fit that way to another location). The whole thing is intriguing. It's very deep. But still, it's also possible to find the basic solve in a much simpler fashion. I think part of this is that Forrest, as stated, always wanted to write a great book. He already has even before the Chase, but this one, I believe, is something remarkable. Even if the treasure was found by the simplest means, the book would go on as a great work. People would be making discoveries about the depths of the puzzle for many years to come.

This really concludes my solution because this is as far as it goes, something was buried in the middle that included instructions as to where the treasure chest was located. Without being able to retrieve this something buried here you would not have a chance as it protected the chest, all that was needed was to remove this one item that the puzzle led you too and the chest could remain safe and secure. I wonder who would do such a thing and then hang onto it for 9 months? I have my own thoughts. indigo

I've seen many people who say that their solve was messed with. As far as the 9 months, and if this is correct, I don't see a problem with that. Maybe they had to decipher something, or maybe they couldn't get back to BOTG until then. Very interesting stuff, no doubt.

This concludes my solution to 'Thrill of the Chase' without being able to get back and retrieve what was buried in the cistern I cannot say where the chest was only to say that the covers of 'OUAW' give you 'PINE FOREST'PHANTOM' Sadly someone beat me to the retrieval of the proxy item in the cistern which held clues to the whereabouts of the chest itself. The condition of the cistern confirms it for me. It is very sad to end like this, leaving everyone in the dark. If you want my opinion I don't think there was a finder. I hope I am wrong.
