You know what's interesting? They did a lot of searching on the front of the rock itself even though the clue says "Stand in the woods..."
BUT...Sandra and David did the same thing! You know the way the book says they used a metal detector and did some digging in various places? I recently found a quote the pirate guys made back then. They said the treasure area will be clearly marked and there's no need to dig randomly (there was a skull nailed to the tree).
Anyway, I feel Deb's pain about the 5 numbers. I also tried them every way from Sunday. I tried compass headings from a central location, coordinates, a book cipher, etc.
