Mining Claims by Fenn ancestors

I didn't pursue this as much as I should have, but there are a number of Fenn mining claims in Wyoming.  There are some by William Fenn and Martha Fenn in that list.  The one that interests me most is the one by Martha E. Fenn dated Nov 11, 1898.  

This one I like because:  Fenn referencing umbilical makes me think of a female ancestor.  Her initials are M.E. Fenn - ME Fenn.  The claim is in Lincoln county, Section 23 (Forrest father buried in section 23).

I think Forrest also said (help me out here) that when the person opened the chest they would say "HA".  MartHA?

Anyway, if this was handed down it may have ended up in Forrest possession. Give you Title?

One thing I always wondered is why we heard so little about Marvin Fenn Sr. We know very little about his fathers side of the tree, and this interests me because I know it was common to change your last name when coming in to the USA. My last name was very different when my grandfather came here from Sicily. Also, there is no documentation of the change in any census document or others, it is only known by my family.
