Ok. I was tracing the fox and other images and laying them over the map and rotating and cussing... as I’ve been doing for 8 years now. 🙄 But then I decided to trace some of the roads and lines on the map Etc...... Skip to me tracing just the points of interest. I put my tracing paper down and just dotted the points of interest. And I realized I knew this shape it made. VERY. WELL. Maybe I’m crazy but I think it’s the constellation vulpecula. I have that constellation tattooed on my arm so it struck me immediately once I saw just the POIs on paper. Can someone check me on this? Am I crazy? Vulpecula constellation- note star names and colors

Is it EXACTLY the same? Or just kind of? Because the constellation isn't the most distinctive shape in the world.

I’d say exact but constellations (the distance between the stars) vary depending on scale.
I’d post a pic but I seem to not know how... 🙄

I can see what you are seeing, but I would not say it is exact. There are a couple of different versions of Vulpecula, some with 5 stars and some with 7, yet the POI count on the map is 6. If it was supposed to represent the constellation, I would have matched the number of POI symbols with the number of stars. But then again, there are a lot of things in this book that are just a little off, so who knows. You could be right!

Vulpecula as "little fox" makes a lot of sense.

The fact that he keeps referring to constellations had me thinking it might be related. And vulpecula is in the Summer Triangle and that triangle on the key page with the poi and 8 symbol haunts me....
