I haven't played the game. From what I can determine the Hex tiles give-
Hills / mountain / fields
Mountain / forest / pasture / forest
Pasture / hills / hills / forest / forest
Desert / pasture / fields / fields
Fields / mountain / pasture
Mrclue stated start here and it would help eliminate part of the country. Desert appears on one of the tiles so either west or midwest

don't have an image but with mountains being north and south of the desert on the hex tiles it looks like it has to be mohave or great basin.
