Welcome everyone! I wanted to come here sooner and say hello, but I have been busy putting this hunt together. Thank you to everyone who has purchased the treasure hunt. I hope that you enjoy it!
Some of you have done my hunts before. My first was "A Famous Grandson", which had quite a lot of messages and ciphers hidden in the art. It was a successful hunt. Those who participated enjoyed it. Next, I made a booklet of art and poems, which people liked, but it was solved quickly. I had a Pirate-themed hunt which was mostly cipher based, but had some images hidden in the art too. And I have done some hunts consisting of a single poem and one illustration, similar to "The Secret". but you already knew the two went together to provide you clues to a single location. I try to make my hunts logical and not leave people scratching their heads and wondering how someone arrived at the solution. You can look at any of these hunts on my facebook page, The Art of Hidden Messages, if you want to get an idea of what my hunts are like.
This hunt will again be similar to "The Secret", where you will have to match the art to a poem. There are ten poems and ten illustrations that will lead you to a location somewhere in the Continental United States. BUT...I have added a bit of a twist that is not in "The Secret". In addition to the ten poems and illustrations, there are two additional illustrations, and two additional poems, that lead nowhere. Those are the red herrings.
As for solving them, I think some are easier than others...but we will see. It is difficult to judge your own hunt. And as for you searchers out there, you are always surprising me!
Also, I will be present while the hunt is going on. I will check in here, and on my facebook page. I will answer reasonable questions, and post those publicly so everyone can see what was asked, and what the answer was. Keep in mind, I do not do this professionally. I have a real job (unfortunately). So I do not monitor this 24/7, but I will try to get back to you as soon as I can if a reply is required.
