The first of ten proxy stones was found today, November 1st. The location was Griffith Park, Los Angeles.
This is the verse that begins with, "Sixty-eight jumpers all tied to rope", and is matched with the painting of a Merry-Go-Round horse.
I will wait for the finder to give their story and post photos before posting the detailed solution.
Congrats to the first finder!

A searcher solved one of the hunts, and drove to one of the sites only to find the proxy item missing. This searcher sent me photos of the site and I confirmed that she was looking in the exact spot. It is unfortunate that the proxy item was no longer there.
The rules dictate that if you find one of the proxy stones, you are to report it immediately. The reason for this is so that other searchers do not waste their time and money travelling to the location. If you do not report your find, you can be disqualified.
If someone has found the proxy stone that was hidden in Farnsworth Park, Waterville, Ohio, please report your find. If not reported, the searcher who did not find the proxy, but reported that they were at the correct spot, will win by default.
And to those still playing, Farnsworth Park, Waterville, Ohio is out of play. I will announce which illustration and verse matches this location once a winner is named.

I actually solved this one this afternoon too...but no where near Los Angeles. Glad to see I was on the right track.

Thanks for the wonderful hunt!! We figured out the location last night by honing in on the mysterious Bennington Triangle in Vermont and the stories that matched on the verse. The last line confirmed a trollbridge that crossed a path. After convincing a local at 7am this morning, the rich was quickly found. Thanks again to Beth, Rob, Ryan(retriever) for a wonderful time

Ashley has claimed a proxy found in Eugene, Oregon at Skinner Butte Park! She had her friend, Deidra go BOTG for her to find the stone.

There is now an OFFICIAL SOLUTIONS thread. I will try to update it as proxy items are claimed. These things take some time, as I have a real job, and errands to run, etc... I have been trying to keep up with things as best as I can. (And Jenny has been too.) Thanks for your patience!
