Well ,I’m a big believer in that the location of the casque falls somewhere along a line drawn from corner to corner in each of the paintings, ( works for the first 3 casques). In this case the casque would be close to one of the Oak trees at White Point garden ( see photos attached). Now I picked this Oak but it could always be another one since I can’t see all sides of the tree and the palm tree in question may no longer exist. Time of day ( 4 pm),for shadow cast may be important for the palm tree or the oak tree. I would pay careful attention to the branch cut sections, there could be an image or feature ( something carved?) in there that cements this theory. GLTA
Trees are the same in both photos
So the bird, could it be a pigeon, swallow or something obscure like in Boston , maybe holes around the cut section by a woodpecker? Those cut ends in the picture form the number “8” , so do you look for the 8th tree from some point or a row of 8 trees? Could “ The bar that binds” reference the girls bra ( anagram for bar) . We already know there are a lot of hints there. The end of the pine “tree” is pointing to that section of the wing as well, probably as a clue that it is the cut end of the tree branch.

I thought the butterfly may be a blue peacock butterfly. Blue as in sad, peacock... meaning of the name Poe. You may see raven pecking at the circle (battery).

Isn’t that the solve method for Masquerade? I have a hard time believing Byron would have done the exact same thing, but to each their own.
I’m in agreement with Choice, strong Poe vibes in this puzzle and they favor Sullivan’s Island over White Point Gardens.

It's amazing to me that nobody sees or at least I didn't get a nod from anyone agreeing with my golden VW bug in the lion's head theory. Two shiny eyes being the hubcaps, black around them the tires, upper pronounced eyelids being the fenders over wheels and white sandy ground below wheels. Also front and rear trunks are visible.

It’s only a theory for those who may want to check it out. and go further with it ( there might have been a bench by the tree at one time or bar that binds may reference something else). By definition a bar could be made of metal or wood, along with other meanings. Will have to check out Sullivan’s island and see if there are enough image matches. As far as the butterfly goes I think it’s a closer match for the common Buckeye butterfly than a peacock butterfly also the girls bristle hair could represent the outer shell of the buckeye tree seed pod or Burr/ Sawtooth Oak nut top. Don’t know if there is or ever was an Ohio Buckeye tree / bush in the White Point Garden area?
If the bird was a raven then it should be completely black and a longer beak. With the mottled design it could even be a turtle.... ( turtle dove ?)maybe. I do realize that the butterfly has some similarities to the peacock butterfly as well and it may or may not be for Poe road /Sullivan’s island / Fort Moultrie but this could just be a clue to the general area like Fort Sumter ,the city state road map and not the dig site. If you can apply the verse to this area then maybe. I still think the verse fits White point garden and digging around a place like Fort Moultrie would be very risky. Honestly, after reading the Japanese clues it leads me to believe that the casque is in White Point garden by the canon that is tipped at the same angle as the arms in the painting. Dig below the cross bar.
