This is an inlet on the Ashley River near Hampton Park. It reminds me of the legs and the two feet on the fairy. There is even a hook shape coming off it, just like in the image. The other thing in the old map is if you notice I have two churches circled one on each end of the park. On the jewel in the painting, we have those two triangles on each end. They remind me of church steeples. One church is Summerall Chapel on the west end and Jerusalem Baptist on the other. Summerall Chapel. Jerusalem Baptist, where the overall shape of the steeple is triangular

Was looking at the branch to the right of the fairy and noticed how the jewel is positioned below it, kind of between two arms of the branch. The shape of the branch also seems to be similar to the one at Hampton Park. There even was a branch coming of the top right before the bend in the branch. I know there could be matches with many trees, but this is telling me that we should be looking between to extended arms of a tree.

This is my theory on this one along the same lines:
Charleston, SC Hampton Park, Northwest corner by Citadel
Of all the romance retold men of tales and tunes cruel and bold seen here by eyes of old (Hampton Park was a Confederate Prison Camp, Horsetrack, Zoo, site of the first Decoration Day/Memorial Day and location for the Capstan of the USS Maine) Stand and listen to the birds Hear the cool, clear song of water Hearken to the words: Freedom at the birth of a century or May 1913 (This refers to the Richard Kirkland fountain, Capstan of the USS Maine and the South Carolina Interstate and West Indian Expo) Edwin and Edwina named after Him or on the 8th a scene (Edwin Gaillard Harleston funeral home at 255 Meeting Street in Charleston. Draw a line from 8th Avenue by the park. You get a coordinate of approximately 32.79, -79.95 where the casque should be near) Where law defended (Citadel) Between two arms extended (Two roads bordering park, Mary Murray Drive) Beside the long palms shadows (4 o'clock based on painting) Embedded in the sand waits the Fair remuneration White house close at hand (Again referencing the Expo attended by the President. You should be able to see the Groundskeepers office that is white from the location)
Painting: Mask gives us Charleston, SC location. Lion, butterfly, amphibian/reptile tell of the zoo. Golden pear tells of the expo that led to the start of the United Fruit Company. Lion references the Richard Kirkland fountain. 32 in lion's mane on right side references the zoo. MM in lion's mane on left side references Mary Murray Drive. The pine tree is for King's Street with the Hampton Park "dangling" down from it. The Pond is the shape of the lady. The "tank" that is dangling from the pine tree is for the Citadel. The flag pole in the tank registers 4 o'clock by shadow. Travel 4 o'clock from the pond toward the Citadel. This is also the general location of the Capstan of the USS Maine. Flower is the daisy, for the 4th month and also used a lot in funeral/memorial flowers. Cross in the bottom left of the lion's mane because this was once a cemetery.
There is a tree that has been cut down on the fitness trail in the west corner by the Citadel. I think the casque is in that area.
