One thing to bear in mind is that most of the pictures are the same for both the English and French editions. So when I solved puzzle one of the English I used only part of the picture and when I solved the french puzzle one, I used a different part of the picture. i hadn't realised that at first and was trying to use everything for each which is not possible.

I should have added that the Forum is now open on the actual Puzzle website and on that the authors are answering questions about process for those that have taken out a subscription. The information is quite useful but I don't think essential although oit also mentioned there is a hint within the book that explains what the link is between the answers to the puzzles in the AdventurerS Notebook and the puzzles in the main book.

Ref FAQ 5 on the website 5) Are there any riddles common to both books? No, the riddls (sic) are specific for each version. Eight of the pictures which illustrate them are common to both and a specific picture differentiates them. Finding out which part of each common picture corresponds to one or the other of the two versions is part of the hunt but it is quite simple
