Hi all, I have a new theory that has not ben shared before I think and I made a video that explains it all. My theory in short is that there is a big reference to the story the Gold Bug by Edgar Allan Poe and like in this story there is a hidden message in the image and I think the message is Poe and that the casque is buried right next to fort Moultrie right at the foot of the Poe Avenue stone post. You will see in the video that this can make sense. So If someone finds it this way let me know and feel free to share any ideas on my theory, Thanks.

Charleston “Below the bar that binds, beside the long palm’s shadow, embedded in the sand” This refers to the Defenders of Fort Moultrie Monument in White Point Garden! The bar that binds is the flag pole and flag in the left hand of Jasper. Flags bind people and nations together! The cask is buried next to the monument on the side with this flagpole and flag!
Happy Hunting!!!
