Well done with the White book and yes one of the mysteries is to link that book with the rest of the puzzle .....I have my theory but am not definite about it.Puzzles 3 and 4 are not too bad Cherry, yes 3,4 and 5 were not too bad at all, my nephew recognised the heraldic device from a trip to France a few years ago, he is mad about coats of arms especially on stamps and coins which makes also Christmas and birthday presents easy. You did say that you would help with the odd hurdle and on six I would like to ask for help please, I get the semaphore code but I am at a loss to understand the numbers that others have mentioned in this forum, where would I look to find these please?

They are to do with mapping the final answers .....you have a long way to go before you get there ......say at least 3-6 months of hard puzzling !!!

I have Conundrum The Cadbury Creme Egg Mystery in my book- and yes, you are correct, it got discontinued after just a few eggs found because searchers were digging in inappropriate places all across the UK. While I do agree there is a bit of a difference in 'Puzzling Mindsets', I'm not sure it affects the hunts. They are different, that is all, and I still believe anyone here or from there can solve the other. I also think there are lots of current 'regular/traditional' armchair treasure hunts going on right now to keep both our parts of the world busy...... Have a look... mysteriouswritings.com/treasure-hunts/In the UK is of course The Golden Casket which offers one of the largest prize values, however what about The Search for the Golden Heart, The Golden Oyster, The Hare on the Moon, The Oracle, or The Guardians of Legends? All those are of across the ocean from here. And stay very close to being 'traditional', although I realize there are some modern day adjustments. And in the US, we have Treasure Island, The Hatter's Hat, Echo the Owl, Cracked, Xavier Marx, Beacon Star, and many others ...... I find myself with plenty...too much.... to ponder.... lol....

The numbers come out just by moving a pen following the geographic directions. Still don't know though if these numbers have any meaning.

Assume you now have the numbers from puzzle 6 but as venoom states the added mystery is what they signify. To date i have noted that they relate to the birth date of Edward, a steam train and a telephone area code ....take your pick .....and they could have something to do with the wheel in the tool box. Another imponderable???

Venoon is there anything that you are stuck on in regards to the Notebook puzzles that I can share, I have done them all except for the cogs and the "smarties", though I think the smarties are starting to look more and more enigmatic I think I am on to something here.

However I could not identify any definitive place related to the riddles. I suspect that the notebook riddles must be solved in order (as also suggested by the authors) and I have still got nothing from the white book riddle!

Puzzle 7 of the Adventurers Notebook is solved but I am not sure what this means! I shall look for cities without these amenities. Though I am holding little hope as they are a staple in our country! Must have a deeper meaning!!! Solve was hard and great fun but the drawing bottom left upon reflection provided rotational information which synergised with the necessary joined up thinking. Interestingly I downloaded an app on my iPad which contained working models, making life much easier and was fun to play with. The red herring of a rail cipher at first proved hard to resist but bore no fruit at all beyond providing clues. I wonder if a railway is a clue somehow.
I am going to spend some time on the wheels (but not too much) and then progress to the pictures on the weekend!!!!! Happy Friday to those who work!!!!!
