To all those who own the maps for this hunt already: What do you think about the priniting quality?
Is it only me, or are these maps (the english and the french) much too dark and are missing a bit more green and red? Try to read a city name, printed in black letters on the dark blue water. I need an illuminated magnifying glass to clearly identify the name! I already asked the organizers if maybe I received a misprint, but they said the coloring is intended like it is. But if I compare my maps with the pictures of the unfolded maps in the official shop, I see that they are miles apart!
I think it will be a pain looking for certain details on these maps. What do you mean?

I agree it's hard to read places on the dark water, but possibly if the hunt only needs a few places to be found it won't be too bad. I'd probably use Google maps to get an idea of where somewhere is, then go to the print map.

It is definitely hard on the eyes even with a torch and magnifying glass.

I can't help thinking there is a reason why it's harder to see names over the sea. I'm wondering why the creator just mentioned that they were printed on the same paper as the Michelin maps, and not in response to any criticism or anything. Like, who would really care about that!?

Agreed, unless it was just a conversation point and meant to point out the quality of the map, it also means perhaps that we should reference against the Michelin map for comparison.
