I got an email from the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department. I asked them about digging. They said, "not until after Labor Day. As we’re focused on completely re-opening, we don’t currently have the staff capacity – it takes 2-3 full-time staff to permit & supervise a dig."

Ever wondered the Hitchcock movie Vertigo as influence for the image 1? She looks like the red-haired character Kim Novak played. Remember the Japanese image with Marylin Monroe and Sammy Davis Jr? There was a rumor of Sammy and Kim being romantically involved. Kims actual name is Marilyn Pauline Novak. Maybe a hint to Hitchcock; Lillie Hitchcock Coit. Opening frames of the movie with the lips and eyes and spiral. Below is my favorite frame. So many other sites are in the movie. Below is a full movie in 1000 frames! My favorite spots include Coit, Palace of fine arts, Legion of Honor and Huntington park area: goo.gl/maps/gVpH38drv69DjQK46the.hitchcock.zone/wiki/1000_Frames_of_Vertigo_(1958)

I got the same email from them. Very friendly, still trying to figure out how to get a probe out there, since I live out of state. I am going to take some pictures of the area I am looking at in a couple weeks though. Google maps is a wonderful tool, but ready to see it in person. Thanks for the update.

I’ll be probably go out to GGP pretty soon. I have one area that fits and feel very good about looking around in. Does anyone have any idea of the tools to use if you get a permit? I am out of state, but I wouldn’t mind buying equipment to use, and even leave the tools there with the park for anyone else to use if unsuccessful in my search. I’ve had a couple “aha” moments with the verse, but I’m sure thousands of us have. Good luck everyone.
