The doc in the jar in the chest

I think I read somewhere someone saying that Jack had stated that ff told him, that there was nothing in the doc in the sealed jar in the chest, that would give away any of the solution or location.
Can anyone remember this? Anyone go a source for this?

Let's see if I've got this right . . . if you can find the chest/jar/document, it will tell you where you are? Gee, that's quite astounding. Maybe
we should all be hunting blindfolded, just feeling our way around until we find the bronze chest, which might feel cold to the touch.
