I do not have the book and just read about this hunt today, but does the author say what program was used to generate the Bitcoin wallet in order to use the 12 phrase word recovery method? Did he use an app, cloud based, and or hardware wallet generator?

Using crypto is not something most everyone is familiar with, and can be challenging to transfer and cash out. you will need to have a broker like Coinbase, or Binance to exchange and deposit to your bank account. That alone could be just as difficult as cracking the code.

If you watch Professor F's Youtube channel vlog, 'Questions About The Words That Unlock A Bitcoin Wallet In My Book (Dec, 22, 2021)', he says that he created wallets in Exodus and did this three times before he was happy with the randomly allocated words.

Its on the exodus wallet.  you can download the exodus app for phone or on computer.  I recommend doing it on a laptop when trying to crack the wallet.  It's easier to input the 12 key words to test them.

Halfway through first read… anyone else bogged down by the grammatical errors? Wondering if these should be taken as accidents or clues? Does that make SINCE…sense?

I have been catching grammatical/spelling errors, too. I wasn't sure if the errors are on purpose... are clues. But, I found around 6-8 errors so far in the book. So, I am guessing that they are just errors.

Prof F actually replied to a couple specific questions in the YT comments. He indicated where a couple misspellings were inadvertent and where font changes matter, or don’t.

I’m ignoring the subject/verb agreements issues.
I’m taken Since/sense as important. But for which chapter..?
