Hi,
Does this puzzle stand on its own or should we familiarize ourselves with the first "Who Am I?" as it may play into this one somehow?
Thank you and understood if you can't answer.

Are we looking only for a historical real person or do we include fictional characters??

Thanks for the question. I can only say that for now, anything is possible. Historical, current, real, imagined, fictional, human, animal, vegetable, mineral...
Not much help, I know, but it's still early!
Good luck and I hope you are having fun with it!

I had my first submission a little while ago. Although it was not correct, it was brilliant (you know who you are!). It shows how a simple set of clues can take you in many unintended directions to feasible, yet incorrect, conclusions. It also represents what geniuses the treasure hunting community is at research and deduction!
Kudos for all the paths and rabbit holes you go down - There is an Aha! moment waiting at the end of one of these paths!
Good luck to all!

Did the submission actually match the number of letters correctly?

Did the submission actually match the number of letters correctly? Amazingly, yes! Both the name and the "known as" fit in the spaces provided! I wonder how many other 'matches' there are out there?
The devil is in the details of interpreting the poem, though, just as it was in the Mountweazel hunt last year. There were so many women who fit many of those details, but only one who fit all!

Because I know you are all itching to get going on Jenny's pre-Masquerade Tribute Hunt activities, I will post my first hint on Thursday 2/17 instead of Saturday as initially announced.
Let's get this thing solved! And don't forget to sign up for the Tribute Hunt!

But before I post the hint, what do you think Jerry 137 means? Send me your best choice via messaging. One answer per person, please (not a list). When I release the hint on Thursday, I will include the top three answers - one of them will be right (hopefully!). Using that information along with the clue should help send you down the right path :-)

Who Am I? (Part II) Instructions & Rules ... 3. All winners must have a US address. Please consider the UK in future hunts we after all share so much history and a language Hi montrapier, Thank you for your comment and request. I have had my hunts open to overseas treasure hunters in the past, but the cost of postage proved prohibitive, so I started offering an alternative option for those players. As I never had any overseas players submit an answer, I stopped offering the option.
But certainly if there is interest, I can reinstate that offer with the following rules:
I will offer an alternate prize to the first non-US player who submits the correct solution to this hunt.
This prize will be in the form of a vintage &/or foreign banknote.
The original three prizes will remain available to those with a US address.
The prize for the overseas player will be available as long as the hunt remains open.
I will add this option back to my rules and instructions for future hunts. Thanks again, and good luck! -FHH
PS: Love your cat!
