Players are also welcome to email submissions (or questions / comments) to 52masterpieces@gmail.com. I still get emails there. btw, Steve Geller's name is credited in the contest description, but he deserves an additional acknowledgment here. He tested and gave feedback on each element in this contest, and helped to eliminate any errors or unintentional red herrings I may have overlooked. If anyone ever needs a puzzle contest (or Scrabblegram) editor, there's no one better.

Congratulations mike6888 and team. Well done! I am very close to the solution myself. Damn my job and my need to sleep.
And I must say that all the praise David is getting is well deserved. I still have fond memories of his 52MP competition.

Should I provide a clue next week (April 4th) if there are no new correct submissions by then?
If the consensus is yes, feel free to post or email / PM me what element of the contest you'd like the clue to be about. If you'd like, you can email / PM me about what you've solved so far, and then I can customize a clue to those who have made the most progress while still being helpful to everyone.

Thanks to those of you who have sent some great messages about your progress in this contest and suggestions for clues. At this point I am planning on preparing a clue, so if anyone feels that they're on the verge of solving this and would object to a clue that might level the playing field...speak now (or in the next few days) or forever hold your peace.
Good luck to all on the remaining hunts!

We finished this one up last night and sent the submission email. (no confirmation yet so there's still a chance we didn't fully answer the question). This was just beautiful. I haven't ever seen a treasure hunt that is so challenging yet fair. Hides things but in a consistent way. Allows you to build on previous discoveries to predict future discoveries. It felt like we were following David's journey of constructing this step by step. Whenever we reached an impasse we could say "What would David do?" and if it didn't make sense, wasn't consistent, or just felt "off" we were confident in backtracking and finding another approach. Mike, just curious, which part of the hunt did you find the most challenging to solve?

Hi all,
So, I'm just winging it here...the only goal is to make this experience as fun as possible for as many people as possible. With that in mind, I was thinking about adding the following offer: for any player that submits a PM or email that describes their progress, and if that progress includes at least 6 correct discoveries, I will tell that player if any of their other individual puzzle solutions are incorrect. Getting stuck in a rabbit hole isn't much fun, especially if you don't know you're stuck. And anyone who can correctly interpret at least 6 different puzzle elements in this contest deserves to be rewarded. If we do this, I'd probably plan to send out all those reply emails at the same time, probably on April 4th at the same time as the clue (at a time not yet determined).
As always, Jenny (or anyone) just let me know if this would break conventions in a way that I shouldn't be doing. But I could imagine enjoying this as a player, so I thought I'd float the idea.
David

I have an idea on what it probably tells you but I was able to skip whatever hint it gives you.

I also tried to get along without it but haven't been able to. But now I know there's hope...
