This was a bound book and was clearly not done at home on a photocopy machine.
News to me. How do you know this? Have you seen a copy?
The conventional wisdom has always been that the only surviving copy of TGAT is the electronic PDF made from scans of a paper document. Those scans show a set of three holes along one edge, as if for a 3-ring binder. It's not clear whether the scanned copy was originally sold in such a binder or whether the holes were added later, after the purchase. But I don't think I've ever even heard a suggestion that the book had a proper binding.
It probably wasn't done at home either, because no one had a home copy machine in those days. I'm guessing it was done at a copy shop, like Kinkos or something.

Well, that's interesting!
Who has a copy of it? Can we finally get a better scan than the grainy, crooked PDF we've been using?

The book looks professionally bound in this image that was recently posted.
I also thought it was a three ring binder but doesn’t appear to be the case given the appearance in the image.
It’s interesting. I am still very curious how that group tracked down the author. I tried for quite a long time.
Either the publisher or the person who wrote the article for The Armchair Treasure Club magazine in 1995. Any other thoughts?

There's a way to track down the author without having to speak with anyone. It's obscure, but exists.
