I was thinking about those restrictions in the book that hold no casques. Are they actually subtle hints as to where the casques are actually buried?
” any life threatening location such as a dangerous highway embankment, a contaminated area or active railway track, any cemetery, public or private flower bed”
Chicago and Houston are both by active railway tracks so to speak
St. Augustine ( FOY park is a burial ground)and NOLA ( the Voodoo Queens grave) are both by cemeteries
Quebec City/ Montreal,Cleveland, NYC and Roanoke are by flower beds
Boston( Molasses flood) and Milwaukee ( sewer grate/ embankment), are areas once or currently contaminated
San Francisco ( dangerous highway #1?, your pretty much on/ near an embankment by my theory), and Charleston (sketchy/ unsafe area back then, life threatening? ,cannons, pirates?)
Maybe?
The last exclusion. “ any property owned by the contributors to the book their families or friends “. Now that is an odd statement to put in the list of exclusions.
Does anyone even remotely know who the friends of each of the individuals involved are? and what property they or did own? That could be quite literally anyone.
My wild guess might be that BP had friends that were members ( not property owners as such),of the Mount Stephens club in Montreal
Now I still think Quebec City is the hiding place but I won’t rule out Montreal completely.
Why word it such “ a public or private flower bed” ? Why not just a flower bed.
I think what BP is doing is that he is burying the clues in the rules as well.
Think about it for a minute….. when you read the rules of a regular contest , at the end of the rules ,people associated with the contest are excluded from entering. So I think when everyone reads that last line nobody gives it a second thought.
