Here is the hieroglyphs puzzle as I see it:
Spells “HAMPTONS”
H = Harp A = Axe M = Milk P = Pyramid T = Tomb/Temple O = Owl N = Name (cartouche) S = Season
If you would like to verify the symbols, it appears that authors used Wallis Budge’s dictionary of hieroglyphs, rather than the more readily available Gardiner list. Only the harp is not an exact match but the others are identical.
The Budge dictionary is available online to view and is a good example of how 1980s techniques may be more helpful in solving this hunt than quicker Google searches.

A couple of nitpicking: Harp as you mentioned is problematic. Closer match would be a tub of water. Hot tub?! Season is more likely a Sundial. Symbol for sun with dial on top (gnomon). Nevertheless the result is the same.

Interesting.
Then do we have to rethink this one? You found the exact match. The letter “H” for harp would then not apply.

I think we might get the HAMPTONS by the following. It would be in pretty much the correct order then.

Absolutely Jenny. Also I've noticed a lot of errors in this book. Obvious one in the picture I posted above, the 5th symbol for pool/water is actually the symbol for a female and does not belong there.

100% agree with above. That’s fantastic, I think we can cross this puzzle off the list!
